GREY BOX FOR GLASS BOTTLES
AND JARS COMING SOON
The City will begin to collect glass bottles and jars
separate from other containers. A new Grey box
will be delivered to homes between January and
March 2016. Start recycling glass bottles and jars in
your Grey box as soon as it arrives.

EXPANDED RECYCLING PROGRAM
All paper products, including newspaper, can now

cups, and empty aerosol cans (non-paint) can be
recycled in your Blue box.

ORGANICS DISPOSAL BAN
All food scraps, such as raw, cooked and spoiled
foods, plate scrapings and leftovers are no longer
allowed in regular garbage and should be recycled
in your Green Bin. Learn more about the ban at
vancouver.ca/greenbin
SET YOUR RECYCLING OUT
Set your bins and bags out for collection by 7 am
on collection day. Place your garbage and Green
Bin so there is at least 1 m (3 ft) of space on all
sides and 3 m (10 ft) of clearance above. Place your
Yellow bag between your Grey box and Blue box.
