2016 Fall Leaf Collection Schedule
M
anheim Township’s Public Works Department will begin its annual
leaf collection in October and continue through December, weather
permitting.
The Township will no longer have weekly bag pickup on Township
roadways. Leaves bagged in biodegradable bags may be placed curbside
for pickup with your loose leaves. No plastic bags will be collected. The
Township no longer has biodegradable bags available for purchase.
Leaves should be raked into piles on the grass at the edge of the property.
Leaves should not be raked into the street. It is important that leaves do not
block storm inlets or fire hydrants. Leaves mixed with brush or other waste
including grass clippings will not be collected.
Please refer to the schedule on the next page for dates and procedures. The
schedule indicates the approximate dates when collection crews will be
in your area. This schedule will vary as a result of weather conditions and
the times that the leaves will actually begin to fall. NOTE: If the Township
completes its collection schedule early on a particular day, they will begin
collecting leaves on the streets scheduled for the next day. However, the
Township will be by again on the scheduled day to collect any additional
leaves. The Township will do its best to maintain this schedule. Your
patience and understanding are appreciated!

STATE ROADWAY BAG PICK-UP
T
he Township offers weekly bag pickup service on state roadways on the dates listed below.
Biodegradable bags are required. No plastic bags will be collected. State roadway residents
may pick up biodegradable bags at the Municipal Office. There will be no loose leaf service on
state roadways.
State roadways are: Becker Road (East Oregon Road to Township line), Bushong Road, Butter
Road (Hunsicker to Pinetown), Creek Road (East Oregon Road to Conestoga River), East Oregon
Road, Petersburg Road, Fruitville Pike, Hunsicker Road (Butter to Township Line), Lititz Pike,
Manheim Pike, New Holland Pike, Old Harrisburg Pike, Oregon Pike, and Valley Road.
