1. Superintendent Search
 Overview of the process to name a search firm to work with the districts as we search
for a permanent superintendent. Discussion to define next steps: sign contract,
determine the process to move forward and bring recommendation from the
Superintendent Search Team to a Sept 1 meeting of the school committees.
Motion to engage NESDEC to work and support our search for a contract amount,
including our incidental expenses, not to exceed $25,000. This cost would be split evenly
between the three districts and the funds will be allocated from the FY16 Superintendent

2. SPED Reorganization
 Community Comments
 Parent comments on qualifications of candidates, communication, and
service delivery.
 Supt. McAlduff reviewed the proposed SPED reorganization
 Ms Green addressed parents’ and school committee members’ concerns and issues.
 Supt McAlduff discussed how this model compares to other districts and confirmed
that the model would work for D-S districts
 Financial considerations discussed, salary is not indicated on job postings for the
team chair positions. The team chairs positions are part of the DSEA contract.
 Communication to families regarding these changes will be needed. School
Committee members asked for feedback/update report in the coming months on the
reorganization.
Motion by Clare Graham, second by Lori Krussel to increase MS/HS Team Chair to
.8FTE
Motion by Frank Hess, second by Anne Hovey to create a Pine Hill Team Chair to .8
FTE
Motion by Henry Spalding, second Brooke Matarese to create a Chickering Team
Chair to .8FTE
Votes: unanimous in favor
3. Transportation
 Discussion of reduced buses at the elementary and regional schools for the upcoming
year. Enrollment projections as of last Friday indicate increased enrollment at the
elementary schools. Connolly Bus Company provided preliminary information on bus
routes. The original proposed bus reduction would mean an additional 5 to 15
minutes for students on some routes. For an additional $1.991 at each elementary
school it was suggested and agreed that two buses be added back to our elementary
routes. It was also noted that Connolly was to be asked to review pick up times to see
if some regional bus routes could start a few minutes later and thus close the wait
time between regional and elementary school routes and allow for a few minutes
more sleep for some of the early bus routes.
4. Adjourn
Dover and Sherborn School committee meetings adjourned at 8:00pm
Respectfully submitted,
Clare Graham
