CDL Instructor
How to get started
Notify your fleet manager that you are interested
in becoming a CDL Instructor.
The fleet manager will verify you meet the
qualifications and help schedule you to come in
for a CDL Instructor Class.
Pay
Earn $300 per week (up to 4 weeks)
Earn a bonus ($500 minimum) when your student
passes the CDL Exam
$875 when the student passes on the 1st time!
Earn $300 when your apprentice stays with Prime
for 6 months
Earn $300 when your apprentice stays with Prime
for 1 year
Earn $500 when your apprentice becomes an
A seat lead driver
$3175 earnings potential per apprentice!
(based on non-spouse training)
Qualifications
At least 1 year professional driving experience
At least 90 days at Prime as an A Seat lead driver
No DOT Reportable Accidents in last 12 months,
Good MVR and CSA Score, minimum 7.0 MPG, net
fuel cost under .18 cpm, good on-time service and
log compliance record, and profitable company or
lease driver
Class Info
CDL Instructor Classes taught weekly at the
Campus Inn in Springfield, MO
Class schedule takes place from Monday to Friday

Become a Prime
How to get started
TNT Trainer
Notify your fleet manager that you are interested
in becoming a TNT Trainer.
The fleet manager will verify you meet the
qualifications and help schedule you to come in
for a TNT Trainer Class.
Pay
Refrigerated Division
Earn $500 when you train a C Seat and they
upgrade to an A Seat
Tanker and Flatbed Division
Prime pays 1/2 of the base guarantee to an
Independent Contractor Trainer for their apprentice:
6 cents per mile for B1 and B2 Seats
5 cents per mile for C Seats
For company drivers in any division:
TNT Training allows the trainer to improve their
utilization and run more miles therefore having
the opportunity for higher earning power.
Any team miles over 3500 pay an additional
10 cents per mile to the lead seat.

At least 60 days at Prime as an A Seat lead driver
