This Simplifying Fractions Bingo game is a fun way for students to practice and become proficient. Directions: 1. Prepare one set of Calling Cards by printing the Fraction Bingo Problems on cardstock or heavy construction paper. Then print the Fraction Answers on the back of that page. The answers are place on the page in the correct order so that each answer lands on the back of each problem. Then cut apart the cards, shuffle them, and place them in an envelope. 2. Give each student a copy of the blank Bingo board. 3. Display the Fraction Bingo Answers or call them out, one at a time, for students to record randomly on their boards. Be sure to emphasize the importance of each person creating a unique board by mixing up the answers and not writing them in the order that you display or announce them 4. The Caller draws out a Fraction Problem and writes in on the board. Players simplify the fraction until it’s in lowest terms and find the equivalent fraction on their boards. 5. Continue playing until someone has a row, column, or diagonal covered and announces, “Bingo!” 6. The Caller should check the answers to be sure they are correct before declaring a winner.
