PA ACT 70: Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Violations Education PA Act 70 was passed in 2014 and encourages schools to teach their students about Holocaust, genocide, and human rights violations. Attend this day-long workshop to learn how to provide children with an understanding of the importance of the protection of human rights and the potential consequences of unchecked ignorance, discrimination, and persecution. Also included will be considerations for curriculum development and resources to enable educators to assist students in this study. Echoes and Reflections Professional Development, facilitated by Randi Boyette, Associate Regional Director of the Anti-Defamation League’s Philadelphia office, is a comprehensive Holocaust education program that delivers professional development and a rich array of resources for middle and high school teachers. Echoes and Reflections prepares educators to teach about the Holocaust in a way that stimulates engagement and critical thinking while providing opportunities for students to see the relevance of this complex history to their own lives. Teachers will receive a Teacher’s Resource Guide, access to an extensive array of visual history testimonies, and unlimited use of supplementary multimedia resources and tools.
