Visit from First Officer Ditty and Professor Poet!
We are excited to share the news that Meadowside Primary
rimary School have organised a visit from the characters
First Officer Ditty and Professor Poet,
Poet as seen on the CBeebies show ‘The Rhyme Rocket’ and invited us!
Joe and Andrew (First Officer Ditty and Professor Poet), will be running a live and interactive performance of
rhyme, poetry,
ry, song and silliness with the aim of introducing, improving and promoting rhyme awareness.
They are coming to see us on Monday 15th May.
We are very excited about meeting these celebrities and feel sure the children will be too.
too Next week we will be
watching some episodes of The Rhyme Rocket so we are prepared and will put a link on Face book so please,
feel free to do the same at home!
This is going to be the start of a term full of rhymes, sounds and listening ears as part of our transitio
transition
program. As a result of this and your generosity supporting our penny pot scheme we are subsidizing this
activity but need to ask parents for a minimum voluntary contribution of £2.50.
For those parent who would like their child to participate in this activity but they are not normally in session on
a Monday, it is still possible for them to attend but a further payment will be required to cover the session.
There are two options available of either booking the whole session which carries a fee of £12.00
£12.0 or the hour
and a half that we believe will be required for the performance at £6.00 this is in addition to voluntary
contribution as above and should be include.
We are becoming increasingly aware that a large number of children are regularly arriving to session late and
would like to stress that children MUST be in on time on this day otherwise they will miss the performance.
Should anyone have any worries or concerns regarding the above, please pop into the office. Please complete
the slip below and return with the appropriate payment to book your child’s place.
