Tandem Disks are exceptional when it’s

Five sturdy models made of highstrength tubular steel set this family of
disks apart from the rest. Each model is
ready to take a huge pounding, and eager
to give it back. Massive blades let you
muscle through large operations, with all
the essentials of a high-impact disk, like
ample weight-per-blade and large blade
diameters. You’ll experience the kind of
penetration reserved for only the most
aggressive tillage tools.
Plus, Frontier Tandem Disks offer greater
manueverability. The hydraulic folding
wings make it quick and simple to get
these disks through narrow roadways. And
a lower transport height gives you some
much-needed breathing room under
bridges and overheads.

The better you design a disk, the better the

feature a weight-per-blade of 309 to 370 pounds,
a penetration depth of nine inches, 10.5-inch blade
spacing, and 26- to 28-inch diameter blades, to
give you everything you need for quality results.
Built with one of the toughest frames you’ll find
on a disk, and hydraulically folding wings, the
TM51 Series comes stacked with a frame that’s
not only stable and long-lasting, but convenient
and time-saving as well.

residue, from light and loose to hard and

Whether you prefer smooth blades for a clean,
flush cut…or notched blades for more forceful
penetration, these disk blades can be ordered
with two concavities to choose from – a shallow
concave for better penetration and less soil throw,
or a deeper concave to bury more residue.
A sturdy, adjustable level-lift
hitch preserves balance and
direction for even greater
tillage results. Instead of
transferring weight to your
tractor, the hitch ensures
that the weight stays on the
disk blades. Plus, this design
lets you make short, tight
turns while maintaining
excellent blade penetration.
End washers help to keep
the gang shaft end nut
tightly fastened on the
blade while working.
Tapered dual roller bearings, an
important feature in giving
Frontier Disks incredible
durability, are enclosed in an
oil-bath case to keep out dirt
and debris for longer wear life
and maintained performance.
For added stability, Frontier
disks are equipped with a
durable spool that fits within
the curve of the disk blade to
ensure that the gangs stay
tight and secure.
The front hitch is designed with
a heavy-duty cast so it won’t
wear out. Best of all, you get
proper pull of the disk for more
consistent performance in
your operation.
Fully adjustable blade scrapers
prevent wear when working in
light dry soil, and allow nonstop disking even in wet,
sticky soil.
Use the rear hitch to pull an
additional attachment – like a
secondary tillage tool, such
as a harrow – to maximum
your productivity.

Change gang angle to match your field conditions.
Increase the angle to be more aggressive in heavy
residue, or reduce gang angle when operating in
lighter soils.
This handy gang wrench (seen here in storage
position) is ideal for checking torque on the
gangs and making sure they are tight for
optimal performance.
When transporting the disk, the leveling
linkage keeps the machine level from front to
rear so there’s no damage to the disk blades. In
working position, the linkage promotes
stability over rough terrain for a smooth,
consistent soil profile.
Our over-center locking wing design, used on the
21- to 24-foot offset disks, helps to ensure a level
soil surface by preventing the wings from flexing
up during operation.
To set blade depth, use the hydraulic lift cylinder.
Convenient cylinder-stops keep the disks wheels
from raising too high and prevent the blades from
setting too deep (inset of cylinder-stops shown in
storage position).
Tandem flotation tires provide level disking
depth to give you a smooth soil profile, and
improved weight distribution for a steadier
ride during transport.
Additional Details – Tandem Disks (TM51 Series only)
Frontier Tandem Disks feature dual folding cylinders, enabling the
left and right sides of the frame to hydraulically fold over center.
With this compact fold, you have a more narrow transport width.
Hydraulic wing control valve allows varying
hydraulic pressure to the wing-fold
cylinders, which transfers weight from the
mainframe to the wings for improved
penetration in hard ground or heavy soil.
The TM51 Series offers an offset
tandem formation to give you more
coverage on each pass, with no need
for a middle buster.
