Important Spring Recital Information Times and Dates
TICKETS: $13 per ticket
This year we will be using an ONLINE TICKET SERVICE. Tickets will go on sale, 1st Come, 1st Served beginning
Monday, April 3. A link can be found to TuTuTix by going to the calendar page of our website. Due to the number of
performers and the size of the theatre, families will be permitted to order a maximum of 4 tickets per student/family. If
there are additional tickets available once ALL families have purchased, these tickets will be opened to the public on a 1st
come, 1st served basis. Performers and children under 3 do not need a ticket.
VOLUNTEERS: There will be a volunteer sign up sheet posted on the parent bulletin board inside the
front entrance after Spring Break. We will be looking for volunteers for sewing, ushers, concessions,
backstage helpers, etc. (backstage helpers and front of house volunteers will be allowed to step into the
theatre during their child’s performance to watch as long as space is available).
RECITAL DVD: VIDEO-TAPING OF ANY KIND IS NOT PERMITTED DURING REHEARSALS OR
DURING THE RECITAL ITSELF. Video-taping also violates the copyright law which applies to music and
choreography. This is also very distracting and dangerous to the dancers as well as inconsiderate to other audience
members. You will be permitted to take photos without flash during any of the DRESS REHEARSALS but not during the
recital itself. FOR THE SAFETY OF THE DANCERS NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY EVER . There will be a
professional quality DVD available to order. Order forms are attached to this packet.
PICTURE DAYS– May 8-13, 2017

All dancers regardless of age and who are performing in more than 1 dance should have a nude liner either 1 or 2 pieces to be
worn underneath costumes. We use public areas such as the cafeteria, band room and various spaces backstage as dressing areas.
This gives the dancer an added security when changing costumes. For aesthetic reasons no underwear should be worn under
costumes.
No dancers should ever arrive or depart in a costume (with the exception of the early childhood students). This is to avoid
damaging or dirtying the costume before the performance.
All dancers should have a large shirt or other covering to place over costumes when applying make-up or snacking to avoid
soiling the costume.
All dancers should have their own make-up, hair needs, hair brushes etc. Sharing these items is unsanitary.
All costumes should be pressed and neatly hung on hangers in a garment bag. Inexpensive garment bags can be purchased at
any dollar store.
All costumes, shoes, garment bags, dance bags, accessories, make-up bags should be labeled with the dancer’s name.
If you need new shoes, leotards, tights, and nude liners etc. please place orders at Out of the Box Dancewear with Ms. Debbie
no later than April 7 to ensure delivery. A Costume needs list will be distributed soon to each class.
Parents may be asked to make minor alterations to costumes. Please have this completed by picture day.
