Job Title: Digital Media Marketing and Communications Manager

Job Summary:
The Digital Media Marketing and Communications Manager (hereafter “Manager”) is
responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of an overall digital media
communications and marketing programs consistent with the arts council’s needs and goals.
The Manager will work with the Marketing & Communications Committee of the Board in
planning and executing annual individual and corporate sponsorship campaigns, online and
print materials, and special events. S/he will also supervise any contracted employees in
charge of photography/videography for TPAC.
Major responsibilities/Activities:
 Ongoing management of TPAC website and social media platforms to ensure clear
and innovative messaging of organization.
 Prepare and distribute collateral pieces, including print/online advertisement, Annual
Report, postcards, posters, Arts Awards pieces, and other special projects.
 Help develop overall marketing strategy and support staff in terms of timelines and
reminders for new content deadlines.
 Identify and engage new areas of growth for TPAC messaging; plan and implement
online and offline communications, including press releases, campaign materials, and
community-solicited responses to arts and culture topics and trends.
 In conjunction with the Marketing and Communications Committee, create, adapt,
improve and optimize web communication for TPAC with organic and keyword
search.
 Recruit and maintain relationships with key media partners.
 Help plan and coordinate marketing and communications around special events and
programs. Major responsibilities for special events will fall toward coordination and
planning of the annual Lumies Arts and Business Awards.
Minimum requirements:
 Minimum 3-5 years digital marketing and communications experience; must be able
to show a strong track record of digital media management across multiple platforms
(website, social media, etc.);
 Expert knowledge in the latest in digital and social media technology and channels
and how to best leverage for marketing programs as part of an overall social business
strategy;
 Excellent project and deadline management skills;
 Proficiency in MS Office Suite; working knowledge of HTML, Word Press, email
campaign systems, Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo/YouTube, and Instagram;

Excellent copywriting and copyediting skills;
Highly motivated, quick-learner, self-starter;
College degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or similar field.
Supervision:
Responsible for supervision TPAC hired contractors as they relate to communications and
marketing, including photography/videography. In addition, the Manager will work closely
with the Deputy Director and Committee Chair to set meeting times and agendas for the
Marketing and Communications Committee.
Accountability:
Evaluated annually based on job performance and the accomplishment of duties and
responsibilities.
Salary: $35,000 – 40,000, depending on experience. Clear schedule for professional growth
and salary raise discussed at first annual review.
