NEWS UPDATE...
Dear Parents/Carers,
MISSING BIKE
Last week a pupil in the Juniors found that his bike was missing from the bike rack at
3.30pm. It is black with green markings on it, and we would appreciate receiving any
information about this bike. If you wish to bring a scooter or bike to school please
remember to use a heavy plastic coated cable or chain and strong padlock.
“SOFT START”
After careful reflection of the start of the day for the children, and in discussion with
the staff, we have decided to implement a ‘soft start’ from the beginning of the school
day. On Monday 22 September 2014 from 08.40am the children will be allowed to go
straight to their classrooms. You will be able to say goodbye to your child in the area
outside the Blount building.
The only exceptions will be the children who attend the ARP. Parents/Carers will
accompany their child to the ARP as usual. The children in the Reception classes will
be met just beyond the Blount building, and the staff will collect them and lead them
to their classrooms.
By providing a “Soft Start” the children will gain an opportunity to settle down quickly.
They will also be able to extend their learning by engaging in a range of interesting
activities, and when necessary receive individual support from the class teacher or TA.
B. Joseph.
