Setting up Windows Live Mail
for the first time
To setup your email account in Windows Live Mail 2012 follow these steps
1. Open Windows Live Mail
2. On the Add your email accounts page fill in the fields

Email Address – Enter your CCIWireless email
Password – Enter your password
Display Name – This is what people will see when they receive an email from you
Check the Manually configure server settings box
Click Next
3. On the Configure Server Settings window fill in the following fields
a. Incoming Server – Select IMAP or POP
i. IMAP will leave messages on the server which is good if you access your email
on multiple devices such as a tablet, phone and computer
ii. POP will download all messages to the device that first gets the message
b. Server Address – mail3.cciwireless.ca
c. Check the Requires a secure connection (SSL) box. This should automatically enter 993
in the port box but if not change it to 993
d. Authenticate using – Change to Secure Password Authentication
e. Log-on username – Enter the first part of your email address. For example if your email
address is [email protected] just enter jdoe
f. Under Outgoing Server Information Server address enter mail3.cciwireless.ca
g. Check the Requires a secure connection (SSL) box
h. Enter 587 in the Port box
i. Check the Requires Authentication box
j. Click Next
4. You should now get a window saying your email account has been added.
