Minecraft plus talking zombies… what else could you want in a book?
Diary of a Minecraft Zombie: Book 1 is an enjoyable read, especially if you
play Minecraft.
Zack the Zombie is the main character and writes in his diary all about
his activities at Scare school, scaring villagers at night, and getting up to
mischief with his friends Skelee, Slimey and Creepy. He is even friends with
a human, named Steve, despite his parents warning him against it.
My favourite part was when Zack went to a village and touched an iron
golem to impress his girlfriend but he almost got smashed.
Zack even gave good suggestions on tricking your parents to get a day off
school, like losing your body parts and having a bath.
Book 1 : A Scare of a Dare ends in a cliff-hanger. I hope Zack the Zombie’s
hands don’t fall off before he writes again.

What was the book about?
It was about a zombie named Zack who has a not so ordinary zombie life...
The only zombie who has a human friend!
What was your favourite part of the story?
When the day came for Zach to prove to Sally that he is BETTER than Jeff
by touching the Iron Golem. He was about to retreat when his human friend
Steve stepped in to save the day!
Why did you like it?
It was a funny book which had all sorts of twists and turns and it all “glued”
together really well.
Who are the main characters?
The main characters are: Zack, Jake the zombie, Steve and Creepy the
creeper.
Zack wakes up at night (as usual), his family is going to scare villagers.
Except, Zack is groaning and doesn’t want to get out of bed and scare
anyone because he is too tired, he wants to sleep in longer and wishes he
was a human!
Jake is always lying and bragging about things he hasn’t done and that are
impossible! He thinks he is the best zombie ever! And wants to beat Zach in
anything! But can Zack prove him wrong?
Steve is Zack’s human friend and makes him feel better, gives him tips and
was a really good friend.
Who would you recommend this book for?
I would recommend this book for people that like Minecraft, fiction, humour
and relationship genres.
