POSITION: ONE (1) PERMANENT FULL TIME ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT DEPARTMENT: CORPORATE SERVICES & CFO SITE: NBRHC – NORTH BAY Reporting to the Vice-President of Corporate Services and CFO, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing a wide range of confidential clerical support services to the Vice-President and CFO, the CIO and others as required, including the Finance, Audit, & Resources Committee. Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Drafting and typing of correspondence and reports Developing spreadsheets Coordinating/scheduling of meetings Preparation of agenda packages and presentation material for meetings, along with minute taking The Administrative Assistant will also attend to daily office activities such as mail, courier, photocopying, filing, ordering of supplies, as well as coordinating office activities as required. The successful candidate will act as a front line resource for the hospital and community agencies. The ideal candidate will be an organized, highly flexible individual who can perform with minimal supervision, has strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner. The applicant must have excellent time management skills, the ability to be versatile, adjust quickly in a fast-paced environment to multiple work patterns as she/he provides support to various managers in the Hospital. PostSecondary education in Business Administration and/or office/medical administration and with a minimum of five (5) years related experience is required for this position. High level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel), keyboarding speed of 70 wpm with 95% accuracy, demonstrated commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors and the ability to support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in our organization are also required. Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
