RULES FOR 36 HOLE HANDICAP STROKE CUP
Competition: 36 Hole Handicap Stroke Cup
Eligibility:
All financial male members who have a current NZGA official handicap.
Format:
36 holes of net Strokeplay. Two rounds, each of 18 holes, played on
successive Sundays.
Strokeplay is the total number of strokes taken per round. All putts must be
holed and all holes completed to be eligible to win the Trophy.
The player’s handicap is deducted from the total gross score recorded for
each round to produce a 36 hole net score.
The winner will be the player with the lowest net total over 36 holes. In the
event of more than one player scoring the same total the Trophy will be
shared by all tied players and the associated prizes decided by countback or
lot as appropriate, depending on starting arrangements.
Prizegiving will take place at the conclusion of play of Round 2.

Entry:
. An entry fee of $5.00 covering both rounds is payable before play
commences in the first round.
Cards are to be noted “36 hole handicap stroke”, Round 1 or Round 2, as
appropriate.
Disputes:
(if any) must be reported to, and will be dealt with under the Rules of Golf by the Match
Committee at the end of play.
