Lunch stop will be a prepaid meal at Potosi Brewery, Potosi, WI (includes tour). Arrive in La Crosse mid-afternoon for a ride on the La Crosse Queen Paddlewheel boat. This is a 1.5 hour boat ride on an authentic Mississippi River paddlewheel riverboat. Enjoy a guided tour of the city following riverboat ride. Learn some interesting facts about La Crosse, drive by historic, beautiful homes built by fine artisans, and a stop to enjoy the view at Granddad Bluff— where you will see three states and the city of La Crosse laid out before you. Enjoy a prepaid dinner at the beautiful Radisson Hotel, where we will stay for the evening, resting right on the Mississippi River. Tuesday, October 13th: Enjoy prepaid breakfast at the hotel. Depart from the Radisson at 8 a.m. Travel to Wetherby Cranberry Marsh, Warrens, WI, where we will spend the entire morning at the farm. Founded in 1903, this family-owned farm not only markets their own fresh cranberries, but also makes cranberry wine. Enjoy a guided tour of the cranberry bog followed by a walk-through of the production facility. At noon, depart the bog and travel to Fort McCoy Army Base. Enjoy prepaid lunch on the base. As a Total Force Training Center, Fort McCoy’s primary responsibility is to support the training and readiness of military personnel and units of all branches and components of America’s armed forces. This tour comes highly recommended. Depart Fort McCoy for Marshalltown around 3:30 p.m, returning to Marshalltown around 9 p.m. (Dinner stop enroute—this will be the only meal you will pay for on your own) No trip insurance available on this tour, but trip price is fully refundable on or before September 30th.
