On behalf of the organizing committee and the Region of Peel Secondary School
Athletic Association, I would like to welcome you to the city of Mississauga for the
2012 OFSAA Boys Baseball Western Regional Championship.
This OFSAA tournament represents the hard work and dedication of 9 teams in
league play from across the province, and will showcase the heart, desire, and
competitiveness that makes baseball the “perfect game”.
This year’s OFSAA tournament will include over 150 participants. Two teams will
proceed from this championship to take part in the final four at the 2012 Prentice Cup.
The committee would like to wish all the players and coaches the best of luck as they
compete at the highest level of secondary school sport in Ontario. We hope that this
experience will be memorable and enjoyable to all the fans, parents,
officials, coaches, students and athletes.
Finally, we would like to thank the many businesses and individuals who made this
event possible. Over the next two days, more than 50 students and teachers will be
volunteering their time and energy to make this event successful.

Baseball is grass, chalk, and dirt displayed the same yet differently

A brow creased in an attempt to recreate a three-hour game

and the never-ending search for the perfect knuckleball.
Baseball is Willie vs Mickey, Gibson vs Koufax, and Buddy Biancalana vs the
odds.
