Twenty-Fifth Sunday after Pentecost All Saints Day November 6, 2016 All Saints Day: We celebrate the Feast of All Saints this morning, as we recognize that we are all blessed by the Saints in our lives. Saints are both the giants of Christian history such as Saint Mary and Martin Luther, and the people we encounter at the food pantry and at Backsnack packing. Who are the saints who have enriched your faith? Take time to remember them, pray for them, and thank them today! We Believe: We start a six-part sermon series today on the fundamentals of the Christian faith as encapsulated and expressed in the Creeds. Our topic this morning is Belief. Next Sunday: God the Father. Adult Forum: Fifty Shades of the Red Book: Curious about the Book of Common Prayer? Please join our discussion of its contents at our Adult Forum at 9 am. Next Sunday: the Prayers and the Catechism. New St Aidan’s Mugs: Pick up your immutable, vibrant, and highly sought-after St. Aidan’s mugs. You can also purchase some new mugs for $5 each. It’s not too early to start holiday shopping!! BackSnack Packing: We pack Backsnacks for five area elementary schools this Wednesday, November 9, at 5 pm in the parish hall. See David Kahn for more information. See you on Wednesday! Changed from Glory to Glory: St. Paul encouraged the church in Corinth to be transformed into the image of Christ as they contemplate the glory of the Lord. He was also speaking to us. Where do you see Jesus? A good place to start is with daily prayer and Bible reading. Welcome to Saint Aidan’s this Morning! Thank you for worshipping at Saint Aidan’s this morning. Holy Eucharist is only part of what happens on Sunday morning: there is also Christian formation at 9 am in the parish hall, and hospitality and delicious treats after worship. Food Pantry at St. Paul’s in K.C., Ks Matching Contributions: Through the end of the calendar year a generous anonymous donor is matching contributions to the Pantry.
