RULES AND REGULATIONS
ENTRIES: Class fees $15 per class. There will be a post entry fee of $5 per class if
entered after 6pm May 24. No numbers will be issued without an open check. Current
coggins must be presented to the horse show office for all horses on the grounds.

FEES: Each horse / rider combination will be charged and EMT fee of $5 per day. An
EMT will be on the grounds during posted schooling and show times. A $5 office / $5
scholarship fee will be charged per entry. A $5 late fee after deadline, and an open check
fee of $15 will be charged for all accounts not closed at the show. Nonmembers of
NTHJC will be charged a $20 fee. NTHJC memberships can be paid at the show or online at www.nthjc.com. A $25 fee will be charged on all returned checks.
SCHOOLING: Schooling will be allowed Sunday from sunrise to 7:45 am.
DOGS: There will be NO DOGS on the property that are not attached by a leash to a
person’s hand!!!
ATTIRE: SEI APPROVED HELMETS MUST BE WORN BY ALL RIDERS WHILE
MOUNTED. Riders must be properly attired – no chaps. Numbers must be worn and
clearly visible.
AWARDS: All classes receive a prize and 6 ribbons. All Divisions will be awarded
Champion and Reserve ribbons. Trophies for Champion will be awarded.
FOOTING: Ring 1 is 125x225, Ring 2 is 100x200. Competition arenas are sand.
CHANGES: Management reserves the right to change, cancel or combine classes, alter
courses and do all things necessary to compensate for excessive or inadequate entries.
Divisions with less than 3 entries may be canceled.
CROSS ENTRIES: A horse / rider combination may cross enter only into divisions
with fence heights of a 6” difference. Walk Trot Poles riders may only cross enter into
Walk Trot Cross rails. Walk Trot Cross rails may only cross enter into Walk Trot Canter
18”.
CONCESSIONS: Available from 7:30 am – conclusion of show.
NTHJC Thoroughbred High Point Hunter & Jumper: entry is free. TB registered
name or tattoo # is required. Entry forms available in show office. An entry form must
be filled out at each NTHJC show. Champion ribbon awarded and year end points
accrue.
WARNING: Under Texas law (Chapter 87, Civil Practice & Remedies Code), an equine
professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine
activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.
Split Classes: All classes, except warm-ups, with 20 or more entries will be split.

the beginning of the show year. Poles riders may only cross enter into Walk/Trot.
Walk/Trot riders may only cross enter into poles or Walk Trot Canter cross rails. Limit
