The team participated in the multi year
transformation project for Fortune 100
financial services client Bank of America. This multi generation project of
$100MM was dedicated to transform
the entire Wholesale Credit business
platform - which was modernizing their
process and technology.
The team delivered the project successfully with BPM approach solution.
It enabled the business to improve their
operational efficiency by 28% which
resulted in savings of $20MM in the
second year which accounted for ROI
of 50% for that year.
How did it happen?
It was apparent from the get-go that to transform more than 20 lines of business
to standard set of processes is a complex project. The business realized that for
such a major transformation they needed to identify their key process, people
and data. They achieved this by building the inventory of these BPM elements
in a process inventory tool called ARIS. Once they had the inventory of it they
were quick to identify the areas of importance and areas that could be majorly
overhauled.
The consultants were able to create the inventory of people, process and data
for Wholesale Credit business team over period of few months. Once the inventory was almost ready technical consultants were engaged to identify the processes that could be automated to further improvise the efficiency to focus on
their business and sales.

For this to be a true transformation, business was looking for a modern, flexible
and agile platform. After careful consideration, along with business, the consultants proposed to build the solution on latest modern platform of Appian which
provided the required agility and speed to market for building their latest Credit
Desktop platform.
Appian Center of Excellence
The team helped establish an Appian Center of Excellence at the bank. This
allowed the bank to maximize the return on the investment in BPM and standardize patterns for presentation, integration, and service layer.

Cloud Solution

Order System

Purchase Order - Transportation
To manage growth in business, this trucking client Ryder wanted to improve
the efficiency of how the parts and services were ordered for their trucks and
replace their old disparate systems.
Already reaping benefits of BPM strategy, they wanted to now overhaul how
they purchased and serviced thousand of their trucks. With more than 800+
stores on obsolete, discordant infrastructure and mainframe technology
Scope IT Consultants provided an apt design and solution. The client now
leverages a cloud based solution with Appian to provide all the store users
with same user experience to improve their staff efficiency.
Inventory with Purchase Order System
With the objective of Continuous Improvement , our team now supporting the
client to move the Inventory management system on the cloud solution. This
provides the client synergies of using Purchase Order system to order parts
and manage the inventory of all the parts on the same platform; improving
efficiency and reducing technology debt.

Efficiency of Credit Sales @ Bank
Background
After recovering from the financial crisis the bank on the west coast
— Bank of West was ready to go back and capture the small business and middle market credit opportunities. To react to fast pace
but regulated environment the bank decided to use Appian and provide the mobile based solution to their sales team. This enabled the
sales team to leverage technology in the field for providing instant
proposals to their potential clients.
After successful launch of the solution the team of 50+ sales personnel started to see performance challenges with the system on
the field. The system was unable to provide the information and
proposals on the field to their clients. This is when Scope IT Consultants were leveraged to quickly resolve the performance issues the bank sales team was facing.
Our Approach
We worked with business users and field sales team to understand how they were using the system and what information
they were capturing on and off field. After capturing the details with the users in three days the consultants reviewed the
design and implementation of the solution. Our Sr. Appian consultants were quickly able to identify the shortcomings in
some of the design and implementation approach of the newly introduced Appian developers and designers. Scope IT consultants collaborated with the existing development team and were able to make quick design and implementation changes
in Appian and other technologies which were part of the solution. The team was able to provide reprieve to the sales team
within two weeks of engagement which enabled them now to focus on how to leverage this technology to provide solutions
to their clients.
As part of the support of this application, training was conducted to ensure the company was self sufficient in all aspects of
the application maintenance. Developer training was provided to ensure knowledge of the latest business process management software best practices within Appian environment was followed.
Acquisition System — Air
Force Base
Scope IT Consulting assisted US Air Force Base in Course of Action
for a new acquisition system. This included evaluating several COTS/
GOTS systems for usage, developing a Justification and Approval
(J&A) and the Acquisition (Acq) plans allowing the Air Force Base to
move forward on setting up infrastructure and procuring licenses.
As part of the design phase, Scope IT Consulting created migration
plans for 104 separate legacy systems/databases, helped in designing
the high level and low level architectures and related infrastructure.
We also developed procurement application design patterns to aid with
the development of RFP.

Opportunities
This global aerospace and defense
company General Dynamics had revenue of over $31 billion in 2015. It needed a robust system to keep track of all
opportunities it was tracking, and responding to.
Our team worked on automating processes relating to tracking and managing opportunities. Within few months,
we delivered a mobile-ready opportunity tracking system and helped train the
company to be self sufficient in managing the infrastructure and processes
relating to this application .
Background
Converting leads to opportunities, and opportunities to awards is the bread and
butter of many organizations. This is especially true in defense and aerospace.
You may be bidding on anywhere from communication systems to submarines;
from combat vehicles to helicopters. When applying for these opportunities, you
want to make sure you have an optimized business process to track and monitor the progress. Skipped deadlines or lack of collaboration may mean millions
of dollars in lost revenue. Moreover, many of the bids relate to the US federal
government and involve strict adherence to processes and procedures.
Our Approach
We worked with business users involved in all phases of the opportunity life cycle to clearly document business processes, then developed a mobile-ready
application that helped the company track an opportunity from inception to
award. We also modeled a probability calculator which allowed managers to
decide whether bidding on an opportunity would be beneficial for the company.
Users were able to track all documents, manage important dates, and understand competitors bidding for the opportunity all in one place.
As part of the support of this application, training was conducted to ensure the
company was self sufficient in all aspects of the application maintenance. Business owners were provided access to aspects of the application they wanted to
customize. Developer training was provided to ensure knowledge of the latest
business process management software best practices.

Government Transformation
After selecting Appian as its BPM platform, this state management and
budget agency wanted a partner that can help kick off BPM transformation
across all of its business lines. Scope IT helped the transformation effort

Service Desk
Scope IT established one of a kind service desk in state Government at

Staff Onboarding
Like in many organizations, staff onboarding was one of the most complex
process in this agency. It involved numerous steps by different stakeholders, multiple hand offs, multiple interactions and several manual paperintensive steps. Scope IT helped the agency map the current process,
work with the stake holders to develop a to-be process, and implement the
