Your child has expressed an interest an attending the Blue Key Speech/Debate Tournament at
the University of Florida (Gainesville, Florida) from Thursday, October 29th – Sunday
November 1st. The student fee for the tournament is $300 and includes transportation, hotel
accommodations, and the registration costs for the tournament. Mr. Machado (Debate Coach)
will be the lead chaperone for the trip and Ms. Thompson (Assistant Principal) will be the
secondary chaperone. Please note that this field trip is an approved Out-of-County Field Trip
and has been authorized by Monarch High School and the School Board of Broward County
