Make and decorate your own Christmas tree
decorations inspired by one of Thomas
Gainsborough’s wonderful landscape scenes.
Make mini Christmas cottages, dress up historic
characters in warm woollies for the winter and
create winter woodland animals.

Find out how Gainsborough used lots of layers to
create his landscapes and make your own layered
landscape collage using fabrics, paper, chalks, pens

The Big Draw is fusing Science, technology
and art. Pick a person from our exhibition
of 300 year old drawings and design them
a marvellous machine, amazing invention
