 Welcome
The meeting was attended by:
o Ruth Fowler (RF)
o Barbara Joss (BJ)
o Marie Taylor (MT)
o Susan Wilkinson (SW)
Apologies were received for Ann Harrison and Sue Firth.
 Summer Fair
The PTA discussed the summer fair. The Headteacher had agreed to
have the summer fair on the same day as Sports Day again after the
success of last year.
Sports Day will run in the morning followed by Burgers for lunch and the
summer fair stalls in the afternoon.
There will be the following stalls:
o Burgers – MT +1 other volunteer
o Cakes – RF
o Tombola - SW
o Silent Auction – BJ
o Raffle – BJ
The option of having a bouncy castle was discussed, further details
needed but this seems a likely option (only need for the afternoon – after
sports events have taken place)
The option of having a circus tent was also discussed but the cost is too
high and we would not want to charge pupils as others would then miss
out. RF/BJ to report back to head as this could be used as a enrichment
session instead on a different day.
ACTION POINTS:
o BJ to find out if school has insurance to have a bouncy castle
o RF to confirm date with AH
o RF to arrange for ice cream van to come again
o School to arrange for pupils to ask Morrisons for burger and cake
donations
o Office to send thank you letter to parents for success of Easter
Event.
o SW to arrange donations for paper plates/cups/napkins
o SW and MT to liaise with each other and continue to get donations
in for the raffle and silent auction.
o School to arrange for bread roll donations from Warburtons again.

The next meeting date will be September 2017. Date and time to be
confirmed.
