WRITER and PRODUCER BIOGRAPHY
Jeff Goldberg is an American film producer and screenwriter who started his
career as an intern for Icon Productions while attending UCLA. He was hired as
an Agent Trainee at William Morris Agency in 2004, where he worked for the
Worldwide Head of Television, Sam Haskell. After leaving William Morris with
Haskell in 2005, Goldberg became a marketing executive for Every Tribe
Entertainment during the release of the independent feature film, End of the
Spear, which was one of the top ten grossing films of its opening weekend. He
went on to serve as VP of Marketing and Distribution for EthnoGraphic Media,
before co-founding Toy Gun Films in 2009. Goldberg produced En Tus Manos in Bogota, Colombia starring Paulina Gaitan,
which premiered at the 2010 Cartagena International Film Festival and was an official selection at eighteen international festivals, winning numerous awards including Best Short Film at the 2010 Beverly Hills Film Festival. To date, over 5 million people throughout Latin America have screened En Tus Manos through its distribution partnership with One Hope. Goldberg wrote and produced Paper Flower in 2010, shot entirely in Tokyo, Japan, which premiered at the 2011 Beverly Hills Film Festival and was an official selection at twenty six film festivals, winning fourteen awards in total. The following year, he wrote and produced Half Good Killer in Cape Town, South Africa, which surrounds the issue of child soldiers and is set for release Summer 2012. Presently, Goldberg is preparing to write and produce his latest short film, which aims to explore the complex identities of Native American youth today. Production is set to commence Fall 2012 in Oklahoma.
