The ASCO Model 236 surge protector is a 120VAC,
single phase, broadband-over-power (BoP) surge
protector. This unit is designed to protect sensitive
traffic cabinet equipment from damaging transients
while allowing broadband data to continue to be
transmitted.

Installation Instructions
Ordering Information
1. Remove power from equipment to be protected.
2. Mount Model 236 unit in a UL approved housing. Keep all leads as
short as possible.
3. 236120NF020AWLJ0: Connect wiring from power source to “LINE
IN” “NEUT IN” & “GROUND” of SPD as shown in the Wiring Diagram
below.
236120NS75KAWLJ0: Connect wiring from power source to “LINE”
“NEUT” & “GROUND” of SPD.
4. 236120NF020AWLJ0: Connect wiring from “LINE OUT” & “NEUT
OUT” of SPD to the protected equipment.
5. Energize with a 120 VAC, 20 Amp Max., single phase, three wire
source voltage.
