*The TITLE is the name of the book.
*The AUTHOR is the person who wrote the book.

*The NAME OF THE PUBLISHER can be found on the
copyright page. This is on the back of the title page.
*The DATE THE BOOK WAS PUBLISHED can also be
found on the copyright page.
*Hint: It is usually found after a little c with a
circle around it like this: ©2013. Publication date of
2013.
Main Characters and Setting
*The MAIN CHARACTERS are the ones who are most
important to the story.
*The SETTING is the time and place of the story.
Tone or Mood
*How did the author want you to feel when writing the
story? How did it make you feel?
Write in complete sentences.
Author’s Purpose
*Tell in a complete sentence why the author wrote this
book.
Plot Summary
*A brief description of the order of events in the story.
Use complete sentences.
Conflict or Problem
*What is the problem within the story? Do I really
need to tell you to write in complete sentences
again???
Resolution
*What is the result of solving the problem in the story?
What kind of sentences??
What are we looking for?
*Is the writing neat and easy to understand?
*Use complete sentences!
*Did you use your imagination? Did you make it creative
and interesting?
*White boards with pencil writing only will not want
people to stay long and look at it.
*Did you follow directions, and is your project durable?
