application
The PTT-110-977 outdoor voltage transformer is rated for use on
5,000 & 15,000 volt systems with °110kV BIL. Primary voltage
ratios are available from 20:1 to 120:1 for use on 5,000 & 15,000
volt systems, at 60 Hertz (Hz). This dry-type, solid-cast voltage
transformer will operate with high accuracy for metering or relay
applications.
mechanical description
The core and coil assembly is wound and encapsulated in a high
dielectric strength epoxy resin to provide high withstand capabilities.
The external line to ground insulation consists of a cycloaliphatic
epoxy resin that provides excellent arc track properties in addition
to ultraviolet resistance and strong physical strength. The primary
terminal(s) are M12 stud with a compression type lug for #8 - #2
AWG conductors. The clamp-type post secondary terminals have
¼”-20 slotted screws and associated hardware located inside a
removable terminal box with two (2) 1” NPT conduit hubs and a
1” knockout on the bottom of the box.
accuracy performance
The PTT-110-977 will operate with 0.3 Class accuracy for
metering and relay applications with burdens of 0, W, X, M and Y.
The transformer is accurate from 90% to 110% of rated primary
voltage.
mounting
The PTT is designed for mounting on poles or substation structures
in an upright, underhung or cantilever position. The mounting
holes in the heavy galvanized steel plate are punched to industry
standard dimensions for interchangeability in the field.
testing
The unit is individually tested per the IEEE C57.13 standard,
including applied and induced voltage, accuracy and polarity.
Partial discharge testing is performed to guarantee the unit is free of
partial discharge through 120% of the nominal system voltage.
options
Units are available in single or double bushing models. Contact

application
The SPOF-110 (DB) outdoor voltage transformer is rated for use
on 15,000 volt systems with 110kV BIL. Primary voltage ratios are
available from 20:1 to 120:1 for use on 5,000 & 15,000 volt systems,
at 60 Hertz (Hz). This oil-filled voltage transformer will operate with
high accuracy for metering or relay applications.
mechanical description
The tank is a standard distribution transformer tank made of heavy
gauge sheet steel with a seam welded bottom plate and a dome
shaped cover. The tank is washed and coated with anticorrosive
iron phosphate and then finished with a Munsel 70 Gray baked-on
electrostatic polyester powder. The primary bushing(s) are high
strength porcelain with tin plated bronze, eye bolt terminal(s) that
accept #8 - #2 AWG conductors and are locked with silicon bronze
locking hardware. The secondary terminals consist of a feed thru
block with ¼”-20 copper studs and associated hardware located
inside a removable terminal box with three (3) 1 ½” NPT conduit
hubs. The ground terminal is a ½”-13 pad. The unit is fitted with
a pressure relief valve.
accuracy performance
The SPOF-110 (DB) will operate with 0.3 Class accuracy for
metering applications with burdens of 0, W, X, M, Y, Z and ZZ.
Upon request, 0.15 metering accuracy is available for burdens of
0, W, X, M, Y and Z, as well as 0.3 ZZ. The transformer is accurate
from 90% to 110% of rated primary voltage.
testing
The unit is individually tested per the IEEE C57.13 standard,
including applied and induced voltage, accuracy and polarity.
Additional tests include dissipation and partial discharge tests.
Partial discharge testing is performed to guarantee the unit is free of
partial discharge through 135% of the nominal system voltage.
mounting
The SPOF is designed for mounting on poles or substation
structures in an upright position with ANSI type “A” hanger brackets
or optional mounting feet. NOTE: Must be installed per NESC
electrical clearances.
options
The SPOF is available in single or double bushing models, with
NEMA 4-hole Primary Terminal(s), Mounting Feet, a 5kV H0
Bushing, Stainless Steel Tank, Oil Level Gauge, Oil Drain Valve,

The BB-15-971 will operate with 0.3 Class accuracy for metering
with burdens of B0.1 to B1.8 and T150 for relay applications. The
transformer is accurate through its Rating Factor, and can be used
continuously to this level. The BB-15-971H will operate with 0.15
Class high accuracy for metering applications with burdens of B0.1
to B0.9. The transformer maintains 0.15 accuracy from 10% (0.3
accuracy from 2%) of Inom through its Rating Factor, and can be
used continuously to this level.

application
The COF(CXM)-110 outdoor current transformer is rated for use
on 15,000 volt systems with 110kV BIL. Primary current ratios are
available from 5:5 to 3000:5 at 60 Hertz (Hz) with a Rating Factor
of up to 4.0 (3200A max). This oil-filled current transformer will
operate with high accuracy for metering or relay applications.
mechanical description
The tank dome is fabricated from carbon or stainless steel,
depending on current rating. The units are pressure and vacuum
tight and hermetically sealed at the factory to prevent breathing
and oil contamination. Tank components are washed and coated
with anticorrosive iron phosphate and then finished with ANSI 70
Gray baked-on electrostatic polyester powder. The bushing is
ANSI 70 Gray, high strength porcelain with a high degree of stability
for transportation and seismic withstand. The primary terminals
are tin plated aluminum, NEMA 4-hole pads for units rated ≥400A
(copper for units rated ≥2000A) and NEMA 2-hole pads for units
rated <400A. A bypass protector is provided for all units rated
below 1200:5 to protect from transients. The secondary terminals
are #10 slotted screws on a short circuiting terminal block located
behind a removable cover in the CT base with three (3) 1 ½” NPT
conduit hubs. The ground terminal is a stainless steel NEMA 2hole pad. The unit is fitted with a pressure relief valve, oil level
gauge, and ½” drain valve.
accuracy performance
The COF-110 will operate with 0.3 Class accuracy for metering
applications with burdens of B0.1 to B1.8. The unit can be designed
with relay accuracy up to C800. The transformer is accurate
through its Rating Factor, and can be used continuously to this
level. The CXM-110 will operate with 0.15 Class high accuracy for
metering applications with burdens of B0.1 to B1.8. The transformer
maintains 0.15 Class accuracy from 0.5% of Inom through its Rating
Factor, and can be used continuously to this level.
mounting
The COF(CXM) is designed for mounting on substations structures
in an upright position with four mounting holes in the base.
testing
The unit is individually tested per the IEEE C57.13 standard,
including applied and induced voltage, accuracy and polarity.
Additional tests include dissipation and partial discharge tests.
Partial discharge testing is performed to guarantee the unit is free of
partial discharge through 135% of the nominal system voltage.
options
The COF(CXM) is available with an Extra Creep Bushing, Polymer
Bushing, Stainless Steel Tank, 4kV Spark Gap and/or -50°C oil.
The unit can be offered in single, dual or multiple core designs.

The KM-15-972 outdoor, single phase metering unit is rated for
use on 5,000 & 15,000 volt systems with °110kV BIL. Primary
current ratios are available from 5:5 to 1200:5 at 60 Hertz (Hz)
with a Rating Factor of up to 3.0 (1200A max). Primary voltage
ratios are available from 20:1 to 70:1 for use on 5,000 & 15,000
volt, Grd Y systems. This dry-type, solid-cast metering unit will
operate with high accuracy for metering applications.
mechanical description
The core and coil assembly is wound and encapsulated in a high
dielectric strength epoxy resin to provide high withstand capabilities.
The external line to ground insulation consists of a cycloaliphatic
epoxy resin that provides excellent arc track properties in addition
to ultraviolet resistance and strong physical strength. A high voltage
stress ring around the top of the unit is supplied to control RIV
and partial discharge. The primary terminals are flat, tin-plated
copper with standard NEMA 2-hole pattern suitable for various
size conductors. The clamp-type post secondary terminals have
¼”-20 slotted screws and associated hardware located inside a
removable terminal box with two (2) 1” NPT conduit hubs and a
1” knockout on the bottom of the box.

The MK-15 outdoor, three phase metering rack is rated for use
on 5,000 & 15,000 volt systems with °110kV BIL. Primary current
ratios are available from 5:5 to 1200:5 for 60 Hertz (Hz) with a
Rating Factor of up to 3.0 (1200A max). Primary voltage ratios are
available from 20:1 to 70:1 for use on 5,000 & 15,000 volt, Grd Y
systems. This metering rack will operate with high accuracy for
1, 2 or 3 element metering applications.

The rack is made of lightweight aluminum and incorporates the KM15-972 metering units mounted either vertically or horizontally. The
primary terminals are flat, tin-plated copper with standard NEMA
2-hole pattern suitable for various size conductors. The secondary
terminals are pre-wired through protective conduit to a 10 position
test switch in standard red/black colors mounted to the rack.

The cubicle is made of #12 AWG mild steel with Munsell Green
#7GY 3.29/1.5 powder finish and incorporates the BB-15-971
or BB-15-972 current transformers and the PTT-110-977(G) or
PTT-110-9710(G) voltage transformers. The cubicle doors are
pad-lockable with three point latch and a penta-head bolt and
have screened vents on the transformer side. White GPO-3
glass reinforced polyester barriers are built-in between phases
and the live side. The primary connections can be radial or loop
feed with one or two load taps. The connections can be either
200A loadbreak bushing wells or 600A non-loadbreak inserts, both
are ANSI/IEEE 386 compliant. The secondary terminals are prewired to a 10 position test switch and 9S meter socket in standard
red/black colors on the outside right wall when facing the elbow
side of the cubicle.

dielectric strength epoxy resin to provide high withstand capabilities.
The entire surface of the transformer is coated with a conductive
layer that is intended to be solidly grounded when energized. This
allows for compact mounting inside switchgear or enclosures.
The primary terminals are standard 200 Ampere rated dead-front
bushing well construction and can be connected using industry
standard inserts and elbow connectors. The secondary terminals
are ¼”-20 slotted screws with flat and lock washers located inside
a metallic terminal cover with two (2) 1” NPT conduit hubs, one
sealed and one left open for conduit entrance. The ground terminal
is provided inside the terminal cover along with a manually operated
CT secondary shorting device for safety purposes.
