Camp Manager’s Report
Office Manager Hire – We completed the process of interviewing our top 6
candidates for Office Manager. The interviews went very well and I will be
making an offer of employment to one of the candidates soon. We are on
track to meet our goal of having the position filled before Memorial Day
weekend. I anticipate an announcement of our new employee next week.
I am happy to write that KK10’s foundation has been poured and construction has begun. After a fire took it from us in late December, we look forward to having our KK10 facility back. We are making plans for the Hideaway Spa to provide their service at the completed KK10 facility. The grand
opening for the Hideaway Spa is scheduled for Friday, July 1. Stay tuned to
Things & Stuff for additional details or offers from the Hideaway Spa.
Many of the committees are meeting in the upcoming weeks. Check dates in
Things & Stuff and on the website calendar for times and location.
Have a wonderful Spring day.

Tammi Leclerc, Board Secretary
Almost 2 years ago, I got the honor of serving on the Board and was graciously allowed to serve as Secretary. Its been
an interesting couple years in this role, to say the least. Based on a difference of understanding/opinion, it is time for a
new Secretary to take the lead, effective May 22 2016 (our next Board Meeting), I resign as Secretary of the Board. At
that time the Board will appoint another Secretary.
I will continue to serve on the Board for the remainder of my term
FROM THE WATERFRONT
As our summer season approaches our focus is on getting all areas of the waterfront prepared for the increased usage and traffic.
This year's waterfront clean-up is scheduled for May 22nd from 11AM to 1PM. We need volunteers to ensure we can cover as much
as possible. Initially we'll meet at the waterfront office near the boat ramp. We will review the list of items, select the ones we can
focus on that day, and get after them.
Here are the items currently on our list:
Pressure wash docks - DONE
Pick up limbs and/or trash - all areas
Parking Signs - re-position, remount and/or replace
Repaint parking lines - lower lot
Mount fire extinguishers and signs (& posts?)
Mount throw ring and sign
Create and mount PFD (personal flotation device) rack at beach area
Update/replenish medical box
Clean the PRIVATE MARINA signs/docks
Pressure wash parking spots at office
Clean off the table tops
Air out/inspect gas spill socks & booms
Mount marine band antenna
Caulk replaced external panel on waterfront office
Paint office
Update raffle signs
I appreciate the valuable time from all who can join us!

This Friday and Saturday evening
we will be having a steak special.
We are offering a 10 ounce,

baked potato, vegetable and corn
bread for $19.95.
We also got a new creamed corn
recipe that we think you will find
really good.
They aren’t on the regular menu
yet but we have chicken fried steak and eggs for
breakfast and Reuben’s crafted with our house
made pastrami available.
We aren’t going to make our goal of having the

but need another week to get all the equipment set

For Memorial Day weekend we wanted to remind
you that we will be having a BYOB happy hour on
the deck Saturday evening during Bingo. Weather
permitting we will have a fire in the pit on the deck
and be offering a special small plate, snack and
dessert menu. Sunday we will be having a special
Low Country Boil. Featuring Gulf shrimp, Andouille
sausage, red potatoes and corn on the cob boiled in
a mildly spicy broth and served in a pile on butcher

your fingers treat.
We look forward to seeing you at KK5 this week. G.

It’s almost Bingo time again here at the Hideaway.
Hope everyone had a fantastic winter. There has been
many changes over the season at the Hideaway and
Bingo had to make an adjustment also. Bingo will be
delayed until May 28th, allowing all the volunteer help
the time they needed due to prior commitments. We
are looking forward to seeing all players on May 28th.
