Luxe Product Information Luxe 5th Wheel WHO IS AUGUSTA RV www.augusta-rv.com At Augusta RV, we saw an opportunity to form an innovative company that thinks differently from the rest of the industry. A company that only manufacturers the highest quality RV possible. By combining excellent people with knowledge and experience, Augusta RV was born January 2012. Here at Augusta RV we set out to achieve the impossible and make innovative design and technology our signature. Our mission is to build the best products possible through passion, design, technology, and above all else – innovation. Only the finest quality RV’s leave our facility. Our motto is: “Quality should not be an option. Quality is standard with the Luxe!” LEGEND. LUXURY. LIFESTYLE. CHASSIS I-beam Frame: The I-beams used to manufacture the main frame rails of the Luxe are of forged steel, not stamped. Forged I-beams are used in the construction industry to frame out structures such as plants and skyscrapers because of its’ superior tensile strength. This strength is consistent across the entire www.augusta-rv.com beam. To further add to the support capabilities of the chassis, the I-beams are reverse cambered. Through heat, the I-beam is slightly arched at its’ ends, so when the body of the camper is mounted on the beams, the beams straighten out, allowing more weight to be supported. On the Luxe fifth wheel, due to its’ heavier nature, we utilize a 12’ I-beam. The Luxe chassis also has 2”x2” box stackable under the Ibeams to increase the strength of the chassis by 54%. The upper deck of the frame is also beefed up. Outriggers: The purpose of an outrigger is to primarily support the weight of the campers’ walls. The wider the outrigger, the greater the support it offers to the sidewalls. On the Luxe fifth wheel, a 14” outrigger is employed. The outriggers are arched 1/8 of an inch so when the walls are set the floor straightens out, allowing more weight to be supported. *Doubled Outriggers*: Most flex in 5th wheel frames occur around the slide-outs. To prevent flex in the Luxe frame, outriggers around slide-outs are doubled up. This greatly increases the frames durability and strength while preventing flex. Box Channel Steel Frame on Upper Deck: The hitch portion will experience the greatest amount of torsional stress when in tow. Torsional stress is “side to side” stress. A wide box steel frame is used to reinforce the upper deck, where the hitch pin is located. Because it is 4 sided steel, it has a greater ability to withstand torsional stress than a C- channel or I-beam could. Powder Coated: All Luxe frames are powder coated to protect the carbon steel from corrosion. With the powder coated method, the powdered paint is positively charged and the steel is negatively charged. Since there is a natural positive to negative ion attraction, the entire frame will be evenly coated and the shell thickness of the paint will be consistent over the entire frame span. Once the powder is applied to the frame, it is baked for a period of time, “cooking” the paint to the metal. *Spare Tire Carrier*: Mounted underneath the frame is a new spare tire carrier using a tube in tube design so a person can unpin it and slide it out from under the unit (eliminates the need of using the winch system and crawling under the unit to get the spare tire). Easier accessibility to the spare tire and a cleaner look. *Mor/Ryde Independent Suspension System with Alignment*: On the Luxe a Mor/Ryde Independent Suspension (IS) System is utilized. Mor/Ryde (IS) System is quite simply the best suspension system for 5th wheels on the market. The (IS) system features: independent wheel action that allows each wheel to walk over bumps, double rubber shear springs that provide 5” of suspension travel as compared to 2” for steel leaf springs – providing maximum absorption of road shock and exceptional towing smoothness, specially valved shock absorbers - specifically valved to dampen road shock and control wheel hop, durable design with heavy duty components means no more broken leaf springs, hangers, or worn shackle plates! After each Luxe is manufactured by Augusta RV, we send it to Mor/Ryde so the unit can be independently aligned. See diagram below: www.augusta-rv.com *Mor/Ryde Hitch Pin*: The Luxe comes standard with a Mor/Ryde hitch pin. Mor/Ryde produces the best hitch pin on the market. The unique rubber shear spring works in a horizontal planar motion (both longitudinally and laterally) to absorb towing shock and effectively diminish the transfer of forces from trailer to truck. Mor/Ryde uses 100% natural rubber shear springs, up to 3” fore/aft travel and 1 ½” side to side travel, eliminates back & forth chucking & jerking by working on a horizontal plane, and provides jerk free starts & stops and an overall smoother ride. *Mor/Ryde Disc Brakes*: Mor/Ryde Disc brakes are far superior to drum brakes and avoid heat build-up under large amounts of stress. Disc brakes improve towing safety by offering automotive-grade brake performance that provides up to a 40% shorter stopping distance in an emergency stop. The advantages of Disc Brakes are: shorter stopping distance, smoother, quieter braking, reduced heat buildup, fewer moving parts, reduced maintenance costs, and replacement parts available at most automotive stores. www.augusta-rv.com Polypropylene Plastic Underbelly with Insulation: The Luxe 5th wheel uses one single piece of corrugated polypropylene plastic to seal the entire underbelly, protecting the tanks and assorted plumbing against road debris and the elements. The underbelly is then insulated with Thermal Wrap before any tanks or wiring occurs (See Picture below of Thermal Insulation in Underbelly). This allows the Luxe to be used in colder climates, thereby extending the seasonality of the camper. Sealed underbellies also contribute to better towing and fuel economy of the tow vehicle because it eliminates an “eddying effect” of wind under the camper. Finally heat pads are secured on all tanks to help aid in colder climates. *17.5 Goodyear H-Rated Tires*: The Luxe comes equipped with 17.5 Goodyear H-Rated Tires. Goodyear tires are the most reliable and safest tires on the market. The tires come equipped with an aluminum rim with cap and lug nuts. The aluminum rim is resistant to corrosion from the elements. Having the best tires, ensures a safer experience with the Luxe. Breakaway Safety Switch: On every Luxe (at the pin box), a breakaway switch is installed. If by chance the camper decouples from the receiver, a lanyard will be deployed, engaging the disc brakes. This will help to prevent “runaway campers”. Auto Loom: All chassis related wiring will be harnessed together in plastic auto loom before being attached to the frame to protect each wire from the elements and vibration, which could lead to wire wear and subsequent shorts that, could even lead to electrical fires. Hitch Prep: All Luxe’s are wired and stamped for a rear hitch if a consumer/dealer would choose to add one. The hitch load is a maximum of 300lbs. www.augusta-rv.com FLOOR *Frame*: Every floor frame is constructed with 2.5” welded tubular aluminum. All floor joists are positioned 16” on-center lengthwise, but also contain aluminum cross-bracing to create a grid effect for greater durability. This dramatically increases the strength of the floor. All tubular aluminum in the floor is stuffed with solid wood backers as well. See pictures of welded tubular aluminum stuffed flooring below: 5/8” Tongue & Groove Dura-Floor Decking: Laminated plywood decking provides the rigidity necessary to eliminate soft spots or “sponginess” in the floor when walked upon. Being a tongue and groove design, the floor sections interlock, preventing movement. Because there are no openings in the decking, it makes it very easy to sweep/keep the floors clean. Insulation: All floors are insulated with R-14 fiberspun residential insulation. Each Luxe also contains Astro-Foil (aka: Thermal Wrap) installed in the actual underbelly. The fiberspun residential insulation in the floor combined with the thermal wrap in the underbelly give the Luxe flooring an R value of R-21. Darco Under Floor Wrap: Darco is a polypropylene plastic weave that is designed to withstand 600 Lb. per square puncture and tear resistance. Wrapped from the bottom up to the sides of the floor, it helps to hold the insulation in place. Although highly unlikely, this material can be patched if by chance a puncture or tear did develop in it. It is a very effective moisture barrier as well. Floor Mounting: Once the floor is positioned over the chassis, it is mounted to the frame using industrial strength carriage bolts through the outriggers. www.augusta-rv.com SIDEWALLS *Frame*: Constructed of welded tubular aluminum, all studding in the sidewalls are positioned 16” oncenter. All aluminum used in the Luxe is 2.5”. With the welded tubular aluminum, exterior gelcoat walls, interior soft touch walls, fiberglass and thermal wrap insulation, the Luxe has a wall thickness of 3¼”. This creates enough strength in the wall to overcome the stresses when walking in and out of the camper, or driving the sliderooms in or out. Every single opening in the sidewalls, whether it is for an entrance door, window, or even plastic range vent, will have 4 sided framing. This provides a rigid opening for these items to be mounted in, eliminating possible “flex” and creating subsequent leakage points. Insulation: All sidewalls are insulated with R-14 fiberspun residential insulation. Each Luxe also contains Astro-Foil (aka: Thermal Wrap) installed in the sidewalls. The fiberspun residential insulation and thermal wrap give the Luxe sidewalls an R value of R-21. *Soft Touch Vinyl Interior Wallboard*: Having a vinyl soft touch surface provides greater insulation to the unit and a high end appearance that is standard in each Luxe. Easy to clean, the soft touch walls can be easily cleaned with soap and water. The soft touch walls also provide noise reduction throughout the unit compared to the competition. The Luxe is the only 5th wheel on the market to provide soft touch interior walls. Soft touch sidewalls are exclusive to the Luxe. Wire Collars: Whenever any wiring is run between studs within the walls, they are placed through protective collars that will prevent any screws, etc. from possibly shorting out the wires when the camper is being constructed. *True High Gloss Gelcoat Fiberglass Exterior Walls*: The Luxe uses high gloss gelcoat fiberglass sidewalls instead of the normal laminated walls. The exterior gelcoat walls receive a full body, 2 clear coat, and sand and buff paintjob to provide a high end look. *Hung Wall Construction*: The true high gloss gelcoat walls are hung, not laminated. Applying Sika-Flex adhesive on the sidewall studs (the same adhesive used to bond automotive windshields), the wall is clamped in place until cured. Some advantages to hanging fiberglass versus laminating fiberglass are: • When hanging fiberglass, there has to be more substantial framing/construction of the sidewall in order to get the fiberglass to adhere properly. With a laminated wall, a lot of framework can be omitted, relying on the styrene foam insulation and laminated process to provide strength. Many campers, particularly ultra lites, only offer a perimeter frame around the outer edges of the camper and around the entrance door and slideroom openings only. There is no “meat” in their construction. • The likelihood of wall delamination is highly unlikely with a hung wall. It is a very common occurrence with a laminated wall. www.augusta-rv.com • If by chance a delamination occurs with a fiberglass hung wall (luan separating from the fiberglass skin), then all that needs to be done is to remove the skin itself, and replace it. With a laminated wall, in many cases the wall will have to be removed. In order to remove it, the camper basically has to be disassembled. The roof comes off, the end walls are removed (possibly fiberglass caps), the bad wall removed, then completely reassembled. This will take many more hours, require more material, and be more costly to do than just “reskinning” a camper with a hung wall. • With a laminated process, if they apply too much pressure to the pinch roller, or draw too much of a vacuum in the bag method, the styrene foam insulation can collapse, leading to the “telegraphing” of the framework through the fiberglass. This can never occur with a hung wall. See picture below of the welded six sided aluminum superstructure used to support the hung walls: Anti-Wick Paint: In every opening in the sidewalls where the luan backer to the fiberglass is exposed, anti-wicking paint is applied to these areas as a moisture barrier. This ensures that moisture will not be able to attack the luan backer to the fiberglass, leading to possible delamination. Solid Wood Backers: Where there are load bearing devices being applied to the outside of the camper (i.e. a rear ladder), 2” x 4” solid wood backers are used to ensure proper bracing of these items. Overall Sidewall Thickness: 3¼ ”. www.augusta-rv.com ROOF *Frame*: All roof trusses consist of arched welded tubular aluminum and are spaced at 16” on-center. *Soft Touch Ceilings*: Soft touch ceiling are used throughout the unit. This provides more insulation and a high end feel. It also helps with noise reduction throughout the unit. Insulation: The roof is insulated with R-14 fiberspun residential insulation. Each Luxe also contains Astro-Foil (aka: Thermal Wrap) installed in the roof. The fiberspun residential insulation and thermo wrap give the Luxe roof an R value of R-21. Roof Decking: 3/8” OSB board roof decking. It is a walk-on roof. 3/8” OSB is is much lighter, cutting down on the overall weight of the unit. Hard Foam Insulated Ducts: Run through the trusses for ceiling ducted air. With an air system, you want to avoid as many bends/turns/elbows in the system or it will experience an increase in static pressure rise within the ducts, which then can lead to back pressure buildup. If the back pressure becomes too great, it could cause the A/C coils to freeze up, leading to system failure. In the case of the A/C system, there are only two bends in the entire system coming off the cooling coils. Both are only 45 degree bends. This aids in minimizing static pressure rise within the ducts that could lead to back pressure buildup and subsequent system failure. The smooth inner walls of this duct also aid in minimizing air turbulence and subsequent back pressure buildup. Another advantage is this material won’t allow condensation to form within the ducts, regardless of run time. Condensation can age and lead to mold/mildew growth within the ducts. EPDM Rubber Roof: Provides a 12 year warranty. Some advantages to a rubber roof are: • Ease of repair. The customer can do their own repair work on the roof with a vulcanizing kit. • Reflects sunlight. By reflecting sunlight away from the camper, will help to reduce heat gain inside the camper. • Is a membrane. Will expand or contract with changes in outside temperature. Note: All perimeter aluminum will also have solid wood inside the tubular aluminum as an added measure to ensure the perimeter is square and solid when screwed together. www.augusta-rv.com SLIDEROOMS *Frame*: 16” On-Center welded aluminum on all sides of slideroom. Soft Touch Vinyl Interior Wallboard: See sidewall construction section. Wire Collars: See sidewall construction section. Insulation: See sidewall construction section. Gelcoat Fiberglass Exterior Walls: The sidewalls on the slides are designed the same as the main sides. Hung Construction: See sidewall construction section. Anti-Wick Paint: See sidewall construction section. J Wrap Skirting: See sidewall construction section. Darco Under Floor Wrap: See floor construction section. *Overall Thickness on Slideroom Walls*: 3¼ ”. The tubular aluminum framework is welded. The welded aluminum framework will maintain its’ strength and rigidity over the life of the camper, providing superior structural performance and durability. The 3¼” slideroom walls also provided greater insulation in the camper. Aluminum Welded Slideroom Bracing: For all of our slide-outs, we weld the sidewalls and add corner braces before setting the slides. This provides greater strength and durability to the structure so the slide-outs stay square throughout the construction process. See picture of bracing below. Before the slides are set in place, we remove the bracing and make sure the slides are square. This greatly improves our quality and construction methods compared to the competition. www.augusta-rv.com EXTERIOR FEATURES Front Cap: The aerodynamically designed front cap on the Luxe is fiberglass and one of a kind. There are also integrated LED lights in the cap to provide additional lighting for camper hookup and to provide greater curb appeal. Paddle Latch Compartment Doors: All compartment doors provide paddle latch slam style baggage doors. At 1 ¼” in thickness, these heavy duty doors not only provide a superior seal against the automotive bulb seals, but they also provide better insulation against the elements than can be found on many other compartment doors that are typically only a ½” in overall thickness. Flexco Entrance 4 Step: The E-Z entrance 4 step is the strongest and most durable steps on the market. By grabbing the handle on the lower step, all steps can be folded out with ease. They are also radius in design, which increases the footprint area on the steps, particularly the upper step when exiting the camper. Dometic Weather Shield Power Awning: Standard on the Luxe, a Dometic weather shield aluminum wrapped power awning can be powered in or out within seconds. This awning can be tilted for water runoff, but will automatically dump water off the awning if not in a tilted position. The awning also features LED lighting. A 2nd door side power awning can be optioned in as well. Front Storage Compartments: There is a lighted pass-through storage compartment located up front. LED lighting is provided for better illumination in the compartment for easier storage or retrieval at night. A LED Strip light is also utilized in both the pass through storage compartment and the front storage compartment for better illumination at night. Friction Hinged Entrance Door: All primary entrance doors will be friction hinged, 30” in width and 72” tall, making it easier to enter or exit the camper, particularly when bringing in or out items of size. Automotive bulb seals on the door itself will provide a tight seal against the elements. For easy access during the night, a light up entry door handle is equipped. *Thermopane Frameless Windows*: Featured in the Luxe are frameless thermopane windows. Frameless windows provide a sharp look, better insulation, and are easy to keep clean. The thermopane window provide two layers of glass, providing better insulation than normal frameless www.augusta-rv.com windows most competitors use. On all sides of slideouts however, an automotive sealed thermopane window will be utilized. Detachable Power Cord: Luxe offers a detachable power cord for ease of hookup and storage. The power cord is rated for 50 amp service. Door side T.V. Hookup: The Luxe offers door side T.V. hookup for those who want to watch T.V. under their awning. Besides a cable port, there is a 120 volt receptacle as well. Satellite prep: The pass through storage compartment gives access to both a satellite and television prep for easy hook-up. Satellite hook-ups are available for both the living room, and the bedroom. Hookup Convenience Center: A rotocast plastic convenience center for all hookups is located on the off-door side in a compartment. Contained in this lighted compartment are the cable T.V. and satellite ports, city water and fresh water tank fills, black tank flush port, exterior shower with quick couple connection, grey and black tank dump valves, and a 120 volt receptacle. Black Tank Flush: A black tank flush port is provided to periodically scrub the tank of waste, keeping it more sanitary and eliminating unwanted odors. *Equalizer Hydraulic Leveling System*: Standard on the Luxe is the Equalizer Auto-Level 4 point Hydraulic Leveling System. Utilizing four two-way hydraulic cylinders, Auto-Level has the ability to extend and retract the legs during the leveling sequence. The automatic, one touch operation levels a fifth wheel in less than two minutes, operating each leg independently in a sequential process. The advantages of the Equalizer Hydraulic Leveling System over others is: One pump operates all legs, One touch push button Auto-Level operation, Audible and visual prompts notify user when leveling is in progress and complete, Stow legs quickly and easily with auto All Retract, Color coded hydraulic lines, and a Variety of Manual Override options are available. It is the premier leveling system on the market for 5th wheels and a standard for the Luxe. Rotocast Fresh Water and Holding Tanks: The Luxe use’s tanks made of rotocast plastic. A rotocast tank is a seamless tank. Molten plastic is injected into a spinning mold. Through centrifugal force, the molten plastic is pushed out to the sides of mold, forming a seamless tank. Seamed tanks could form leaks where joined. *Atwood Gas/Electric “On-Demand” Hot Water Heater*: Atwood On-Demand Water Heaters are designed specifically for use in RVs and provide a continuous, residential hot water experience. The on demand water heater is 50,000 BTU’s. The high output burners instantly heat and deliver class leading performance. Best of all, it works just like home... simply turn on the hot water and mix in cold to reach your desired temperature. The heater is energy efficient as well and only uses power when hot water is demanded. Triple Seal System on all Sliderooms: On all sliderooms, a triple seal system is employed to prevent possible leakage around the slideroom openings. The primary seal is a bulb seal mounted around the exterior slideroom opening (when the slideroom is in) and around the interior slideroom fascia (when the slideroom is out). As the slideroom is powered in, this seal is “crushed” against the metal slide fascia, creating a watertight seal. When out, it crushes the bulb seal on the inside of the camper. In either case, a watertight seal is formed. There are also two wiper seals that encircle the entire slideroom (2nd and 3rd www.augusta-rv.com seals), so when in the extended position, these wiper seals prevent water, insects, or airborne particulates from entering the camper from outside. If by chance water gets past the first wiper seal, the second wiper seal will trap the water and channel it away from the slideroom opening to the outside. When the slideroom is in the closed position, water must get past the bulb seal and the two wiper seals as well. Electric Rack & Pinion Slide System: All main slide rooms utilize the electric rack & pinion system to power the slideroom. This system has been around for a number of years and has a proven track record. In terms of reliability, this system has been tested to cycle over 5,000 times without a failure. (One cycle is driving the slideroom out, then back in). It is also relatively light in weight, so doesn’t take away too much from the carrying capacity. It is also a system that doesn’t require lubrication and is easy to adjust/calibrate. All Luxe bedroom slides utilize the Norco Cable Slide. This provides a clean look so consumers won’t hit their heads under the slides. The Norco Cable Slides are reliable and a great attribute for the Luxe. Battery Disconnect Switch: A battery disconnect switch is located in the exterior front storage compartment to disconnect battery power from the camper, preventing unwanted drain on the battery when the camper is not in use. Devices such as the smoke detector or LP leak detector will draw from the house batteries, even when the camper is stored for the season unless these devices are disconnected from the house batteries. *40 Lb. LP Bottles with Auto Changeover Regulator*: The Luxe offers twin 40 lb. LP bottles with an auto changeover regulator. Most competitors offer only 30Lb Tanks. 40lb tanks are standard on the Luxe. LP Quick Disconnect: Each Luxe contains an LP quick discount towards the rear of the unit. This allows the retail consumer to use a gas grill outside if desired. Activity Light: There is an activity light up front on the door side of the camper to provide additional lighting and security at night. *Reverse Backup Camera*: Each Luxe comes standard with a wireless backup camera attached to the rear cap. This allows the driver to easily reverse the unit and see behind them. The wireless camera automatically sync’s with a portable LED screen the driver can connect to their truck or the inside of the unit at night if desired. www.augusta-rv.com HEATING & COOLING SYSTEMS *Furnace – 40,000BTU*: The furnace on the Luxe is rated at 40,000 Btu’s. All furnace vents in the living area are located above the floor. This eliminates the need for floor ducted furnace grates, which can capture dirt and debris brought into the camper from outside. This also helps maintain a stronger floor, eliminating cut out holes for vents. Also, without vents in the floors, one does not have to worry about stepping on grates while not wearing shoes. When in operation, the furnace will recirculate heat to the holding tanks and fresh water tank, thereby extending the usage of the camper in colder temperatures. Tanks and Pipe Heaters: All of the Luxe tanks contain heat pads to eliminate freezing and breaking in cold temperatures. The drain pipes also have an elbow heater. These heaters allow the unit to be used through all 4 seasons. *Air Conditioning – 15,000BTU*: Dual Air Whisper Quiet 15,000 Btu A/C’s are standard on the Luxe. A 15,000 Btu A/C unit will recondition the air in the camper 6 times in an hour. Most competitors utilize a lessor 13,500 Btu A/C unit. The Luxe is standard with 2 15,000 Btu A/C units. www.augusta-rv.com DOORS & DRAWERS *Custom Knotty Alder Cabinetry/Stiles/Doors/Fascia/Trim*: The Luxe features solid wood residential box cabinetry/stiles/doors/fascia and trim. All cabinetry/stiles/doors/fascia and trim throughout the Luxe are handcrafted via a residential specialist and then assembled on site. The cabinet doors, drawers, and stiles are made of knotty alder wood, which is not MDF board (particle board) with a veneer wrap. Veneers can peel and gouge easy, and MDF board is very susceptible to water damage. Alder wood is a premier high end wood that holds moisture so there is no cracking or splitting of the wood. The cabinetry includes radius edges for a high end residential look and seamless transitions. The cabinetry is completed with dovetail drawers. Exclusive to the Luxe, dovetail drawers complete the residential look and feel. The Luxe cabinetry provides a 1 of a kind high end look that no other competitor offers, while providing strength and durability. *Drawer Guides (Self-Closing)*: All dovetail drawers are equipped with self-closing drawer guides mounted underneath the drawers. Mounting the self-closing guides underneath the dovetail drawers rather than the sides provides greater durability and quality for all cabinetry within the Luxe. This is a high end attribute and the Luxe is one of the only units on the market offering such a feature. Being fully extendable, the complete drawer can be easily accessed. Hidden Cabinet Hinges: All cabinet doors utilize hidden hinges to give the cabinet fronts a clean, seamless, and high end look about them. Dinette Table with Chairs: The Luxe provides a custom hardwood dinette buffet. The dinette table will extend for additional seating if desired. Included are 2 hardwood dinette chairs with a fabric accent. 2 foldable chairs are also equipped with the Luxe for extra seating. www.augusta-rv.com ELECTRICAL Central Command Center: The Luxe has a centralized command center, where all controls are located for easy access. Located high enough and behind a cabinet door to prevent children from playing with the switches, the command center features the monitor panel, the gas and electric switches with red activation light for the hot water heater, power awning and slideroom switches, entrance step light, and patio and living area light switches. The Command Center will also house the portable Linc Pad that controls all exterior features. USB Charging Station: A charging station is supplied to provide an area where cell phones or computer batteries can be charged. A great convenience to the customer. 50 Amp Service: The advantage to 50 amp service is that all devices within the camper can be operated without fear of popping breakers due to overloaded circuits. 75 Amp Converter: The converter in essence is a circuit breaker box for an RV and is designed to take a leg of 110 volt electricity and reduce it down to 12 volt. Most items in a camper only need 12 volt power to operate, such as the lighting, slideroom mechanisms, power awnings, leveling jacks, furnace motors, and demand pumps. As standard, a 75 amp converter is used (due to 50 amp service). The converter will send any available electrical charge not being utilized by the camper directly to the house batteries. A 45 amp sized converter or less will only send a 5 amp “trickle charge” to the house batteries. If the strength of the batteries drops below 10 volts, the trickle charge will not re-charge the batteries to full strength (12+ volts). A 75 amp converter will be able to fully re-charge the house batteries if battery power has been reduced. The monitor panel will easily let the user know his battery strength. If it is dropping, all the user needs to do is shut off some electrical devices of the camper and let that “saved” electricity be driven to the house batteries. 2575 Watt Inverter: By utilizing a 2575 watt inverter you are able to convert 12V power into 110V power (The opposite of the 75amp converter). For example, the high end inverter on the Luxe allows an individual to power the refrigerator (110v) when connected to battery power (12v). This makes it easier on the end customer to utilize the refrigerator in the Luxe whether they are connected to battery power or a shore line. *Mor/Ryde Easy Reel Cord Spooler*: The Easy Reel utilizes an ingenious design to allow for quick, simple and easy spooling of your 50 amp power cord. The Easy Reel features rugged steel construction and high quality powder coat finish. The Easy Reel delivers the simplest, smoothest, and www.augusta-rv.com most convenient way to effectively store your power cord. It is also small which frees up greater storage space in the pass through storage compartment. 110 Volt Outlets on Both Sides of the Bed: 110 volt receptacles are provided on both sides of the bed for additional electrical appliances to be used if needed, such as lights, chargers, medical machines, etc. 110 Volt Outlets on Both Sides of Recliner/Dinette Slideroom: On both ends of the recliner/dinette sliderooms, a 110 volt receptacle can be found. Computers, lighting, coffee pots, fans and more can be plugged into these outlets when needed. *50” & 40” LED T.V.’s*: Every Luxe comes equipped with a 50” Hi-Definition LED T.V. in the living room. The bedroom features a 40” LED HD television for added luxury. Both TV’s are top of the line and residential. Sound Bar with Bluetooth: The living room entertainment center utilizes a high end residential sound bar for top performance. The sound bar is Bluetooth capable and can be controlled by a smart phone. The sound bar will provide superior surround sound from the TV or your smart phone. AM/FM Exterior Player with Bluetooth: The exterior radio is mounted next to the pass thru storage compartment. The player is 12 volt powered, which means it can be powered off the house batteries when dry camping. The player is conveniently located outside the unit so campers can easily access and control music, volume, etc. playing from the outside speakers. The player is also Bluetooth capable and can be sync’d with a smart phone for easy convenient control as well. The player is resistant to exterior forces such as water and UV Rays. LED Puck Lighting: In the Luxe, LED recessed lighting is offered throughout the unit. Not only does the recessed lighting provide additional illumination within the fifth wheel, it also offers a higher end aspect to the camper. LED lighting is also very efficient and generates very little heat. In addition, the lighting is also placed on dimmers for desired brightness. *Firefly Integration Light Switches*: All lights throughout the Luxe are the same switches used on a high end Class A motorhome. You can control different lights in different zones. You also have master light switches next to the bed and front door so you can turn all lights on or off in the unit. The switches also are designed elegantly for a high end appeal and function and have blue LED lighting behind the switches. Luxe is one of the only 5th wheels in the entire market to incorporate these switches. 110Volt Kitchen Island Lighting: Decorative 110V lighting is used over the kitchen island. This provides extra lighting, creates a higher end look, and evokes a more residential setting within the camper. Ceiling Fan: The Luxe provides a ceiling fan in the living area for additional circulation of the inside air for increased comfort. 3 Speed Rain Fantastic Vent: All Luxe’s are equipped with multiple 3 speed fantastic vents that can be used to either create an induced draft or downward draft into the living area, depending on the need within the camper. This fan can aid in removing unwanted heat and/or humidity in the living area or www.augusta-rv.com can bring into the living area fresh air when desired. The fantastic vent will also sense rain if open and automatically close. Fireplace: A faux flame fireplace is installed to create a more homelike effect within the camper. It will also generate 5,000 Btu’s of heat, so will provide heat in the living area or aid the furnace in keeping the camper warm during colder weather. Electrolux Upright Vacuum in Charger: Standard on the Luxe, an Electrolux upright vacuum in its charger provides a method of cleaning the camper. The head pivots, so getting around corners and under furniture can be done with ease. The beater brush is designed to be used on both carpet and flooring. There is also a hand held attachment that can be disengaged from the main vacuum for smaller jobs, when needed. There are no bags to contend with, so dumping the canister is a snap. PLUMBING Dometic Porcelain Foot Flush Toilet: Porcelain foot flush toilets are used. Porcelain toilets are a non-porous material, so they won’t trap odors or create stains like porous plastic toilets will do. Unlike scratch sensitive plastic toilets, abrasive cleansers can be used on porcelain toilets when cleaning. They will be more durable than plastic toilets, typically sit higher than plastic toilets (increasing comfort), and are more sanitary when flushing, since the flush holes are located at the very top of the bowl. Every flush creates a 360 degree swirl around the bowl starting at the top, ensuring better removal of waste from the bowl to the holding tank. Tuf-Pex Polyethylene Plumbing Lines: Tuf-Pex polyethylene plastic tubing are used for the plumbing system. Color coded, they are crack and freeze resistant, able to withstand temperature extremes as low as 90 degrees below zero and 180 degrees in water temperatures. These lines can literally freeze solid. They will expand due to the ice buildup inside them, but won’t rupture or burst. There is a 25 year warranty associated with these lines. The plumbing fittings offer a 10 year warranty. Flo-Jet Demand Pump: When dry camping, the Flo-Jet demand pump will be activated to provide water from the fresh water tank to the plumbing lines. Most liquid pumps rely on the liquid being pumped to keep the pump running cool. If the pump is running, and there is no liquid to keep it cool, the pump could seize up and fail. In contrast, the Flo-Jet pump can literally run dry and never seize up, so its’ performance will never be affected if the fresh water tank happens to run dry. Fiberglass Shower: A one piece colored fiberglass shower is used. Easy to enter and exit, this shower design provides plenty of elbow room while showering. It is a full residential shower and is top of the line. Skylight in Shower: A skylight in the shower provides additional lighting in the shower or tub and increases headroom in this area by 4”. www.augusta-rv.com Washer/Dryer Prep: Washer/dryer prep is provided in all Luxe floorplans. A stackable washer/dryer or combo washer/dryer may be utilized in each Luxe. In the washer/dryer prep area, hot and cold water connections can be found for a combined washer/dryer design. Storage Beds: The King bed bases are piston actuated to make cargo retrieval and storage in this area easy. This is a great area to store pillows, blankets, sheets, etc. Shaw Nylon Carpet with R2X Stain Guard: The Luxe towable uses Shaw residential carpet where called for. Shaw is a well-recognized carpet manufacturer and one of the largest in the world. They use 100% nylon fibers for superior long term performance. This carpet holds its colors in the fibers and will not fade, nor will it break down from excessive and prolonged wear. The fibers are also impregnated with R2x stain guard, so the carpet will not stain, making it easier to clean. Cold water is typically all that is required to remove any stains that do develop in the carpet. Most other manufacturers use polyester carpet, which will fray and break down the fibers, causing the carpet to “lay down”. The dyed polyester fibers can fade from sunlight and can also stain easily. Polyester likes to trap stains within it’s’ fibers, making it more difficult to remove those stains once they do occur. www.augusta-rv.com Hand Laid Plank/Tile Flooring: Very little carpet exists in the Luxe. Each piece of the Luxe flooring is hand laid throughout the unit. The living area, half bath, and bedroom feature hand-laid vinyl wood floor planking. The flooring provides a modern look while being an easily cleanable surface. In the master bathroom 16 x 16 vinyl floor tile is hand-laid. However, if requested the living room can be replaced with carpet as an option. MCD Day/ Night Shades: The Luxe features Day/Night shades. Day/night shades provide the user the ability to control how much light they want to enter. By being able to adjust two fabrics on the same shade, this becomes a possibility.
