Youth Week
August 8-12th
Here are some of the events going on this week for kids:
Stop in and guess how many gumballs are in the jar.
Closest guess wins the gum and a gift card from DQ! Stop
in for free ice cream with toppings on Wednesday, August
10th at 2:00pm while it lasts. Kids don’t forget to put
money in your savings account to be eligible for the
summer promotion prizes! The annual pool party held by
our local chapter of Credit Unions will be held in August at
Roosevelt Park Pool. Watch our website, Facebook and
the lobby for more details on these events.
“Hit A Financial
Home Run”
We kicked off our summer promotion on
June 1st by providing members the
opportunity to qualify to win a MN Twins corn hole game set,
hanging lounger or a $100.00 Visa gift card. You still have time to
qualify for this drawing. If you get a new person to sign up as a
member (they would also qualify), take out a loan or add a new
service your name will be entered into the drawing. This
promotion will run through August 12th. Prizes will be given
away on Monday, August 15th.
Also register for other drawings throughout the summer for
some great prizes!
Join us for a complimentary lunch on Friday, July 15th and Friday,
August 12th from 11-1.
Hit It Out of the Park !
For Minot’s Dream Catcher’s baseball team.
Donate a $1.00 and we will hang a paper baseball in our
lobby recognizing your donation. Who are the Minot
Dream Catchers? Dream Catcher’s baseball league was
founded in 2003 for children with moderate to severe
disabilities from kindergarten through grade 12. The
league is specifically designed for children who choose
not to participate in the summer recreational program
due to safety concerns or the child’s physical needs such
as braces, walkers or wheelchairs. This event will run
through August 12th. Thanks for your donation!
Now is a great time to get your kids to start saving during our
summer promotion!
Kids 12 and under that open a Pee Wee Penguin Savings
account, Prairie Federal will put in the first $15.00! (Account
must remain open for a year) You will also get a free gift for
opening the savings account while quantities last.
Kids 12 and under for every $25.00 that is put into your

backpacks with school supplies to be given away on August 15th.

Mindee Kohlman started
her new role as President of
Prairie Federal on May 23.
Mindee has been with
Prairie Federal since 1988.
She became Operation’s Manager
in 1992 and Vice President of Operations in 1998.

are going to have a raffle auction
again in September to raise funds
locally for the Trinity Cancer Care
Rehabilitation Program. Last year
was a success because of your
donations! We will accept monetary
donations in order to purchase items
for the baskets or a gift basket. If

79th Annual Meeting
Update!
Welcome
We would like to welcome Darcey
Copeland! She is our new part
time teller. She started with
Prairie Federal in March. She loves
to hang out with family and
friends. Darcey also enjoys fishing,
tatting and just being outdoors.
Goodbye
We are very sad to say goodbye to
Steve Tonneson. We thank Steve
for 25 years of service and wish
him all the best with his new
endeavors.

The volunteers and staff would like to thank
everyone who attended our 79th Annual Meeting on
Thursday, April 7th at the Grand Hotel. We had a productive
and fun evening. Elected to the Board of Directors were Joel
Metz , Jason Rohrer and Walt Grigas. Elected to the Credit
Committee were 164720 Marlen Bratvold and Ramona
Goheen. Over 175 people attended the meeting. We hope to
see you at next year's meeting!
Scholarship Winner
Once again this year seniors
were able to drop off their
report card at PFCU. For
every “A” on their report
card they were entered into
a drawing for a $1,000 dollar
scholarship. This year’s winner is Toni Lemon and she
will be attending Northern State University, located in
Aberdeen SD, in the fall. Congratulations to Toni and
best of luck to all of our area seniors in the future! If
you are going to be a senior next year keep us in mind
when you get your report card!
