Principal’s Message
The days are dwindling down. We are busy tying up loose ends in our classes. The exam schedule has been in
the last few Thursday notes.
We invite everyone to join us for the SCC Ham Supper at 5:30 and Student Showcase Awards at 7:00
pm.tonight. There will be displays of student work and we will celebrate academic, sports and extracurricular
successes.
Student Dress Expectations
Students are expected to conform to certain dress standards acceptable to standards of today’s workforce and
society. We request that you use the following guidelines:
Clothes should be selected with good taste and judgment in mind.
Any type of clothing that displays alcoholic, pornographic or slang expressions or message is unacceptable.
Apparel such as beach wear, backless tops, short shorts, short skirts, halter, tube tops or t-shirts with spaghetti
straps would be considered inappropriate; straps must be two finger widths wide.
Undergarments should not be visible

The Dodsland Lions are hoping to win a contest sponsored by Cargil
The $25000.00 from this contest will go towards a new and improved playground.

Deadline for submitting items for the Thursday Note is the Wednesday before noon. Items received after
that will not make it into the Thursday note.
Apple Sponsors
Our June apple sponsor is The Spa of Plenty. Thank you Mauri and Jordy Swan! Thank you also to
Dodsland & District Credit Union for being our May apple sponsor and P&C Foods for donating a case of
apples each month!! Apples are placed in each classroom for a healthy snack to all students. Our students eat
about 400 apples a month! This is fantastic!! If you would like to be a monthly sponsor for this very valuable

Panago Pizza
Thursday June 18th the high school students will be having a Panago pizza sale! The cost is 5 dollars for one
slice meal. Each additional slice will cost 2 dollars. Please have forms in by Friday June 12th.

the meal, which includes one piece of pizza, one drink and one cookie. Each additional piece of pizza ordered

work.

Plenty Wheatland Regional Library Cookbook Challenge
The Plenty library board is challenging every grade and the staff to submit the most of their favourite recipes to
be put into our new cookbook. The student in each grade who enters the most recipes will win a $25 ITunes gift
card. The contest starts on Monday June 8 and ends Friday the 12. Good luck!
Wheatland Regional Library Cookbook
The new deadline for submitting recipes for the new Library Cookbook is June 15th. We are looking forward to
seeing all your great recipes and would like to make this new cookbook as successful as our first one!!
