Internal Rhyme Examples
In poetry, when there is a rhyme created by a word at the end of a line and a word that occurs
previously in the same line, it is called internal rhyme. Simply, this means that there is a rhyme
in the line of poetry.
Examples of Internal Rhyme:
I could spend hours walking amid the flowers.
Oh, how I love to bake a scrumptious chocolate cake.
The sun through the branches dappled the ripe for harvest apples.
The story is very old, and many times has been told.

Once upon a midnight dreary while I pondered weak and weary.
