The Utah Museum of Contemporary Art is pleased to participate in Salt Lake City’s Human Rights Day Celebration. Every
year on December 10th, Human Rights Day is celebrated internationally to commemorate the adoption of the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948. This event will raise awareness about efforts to
improve human rights for all individuals and raise funds for the Human Rights Education Project in Salt Lake City.
Artists ages 12-18 are invited to submit artwork. Participating artists will receive a ticket to attend the Human Rights Day
Celebration.
Your Artwork Must...
Submission Deadline: November 20th

Artwork may be turned in to UMOCA at 20 S West Temple, SLC UT 84101.
Accepted artworks will be displayed at:
• be two-dimensional and no larger
than 12 by 16 inches.

My submitted artwork will be returned to me, the artist, after its display at the Human Rights Day Celebration and the Utah
Museum of Contemporary Art. I agree to pick up my artwork from Utah Museum of Contemporary Art at 20 S West Temple,
SLC 84101 within 7 days of being contacted, or else transfer ownership of my artwork to the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office of
Diversity & Human Rights, Salt Lake City Human Rights Commission, and the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (all three
herein referred to as “sponsoring organizations”).
I consent to the use and reproduction of photographic images of my artwork and myself by the sponsoring organizations
without compensation of any kind to me, the artist. I agree not to hold the sponsoring organizations or their agents
responsible, under any circumstance, for any action that occurs as a result of this advertisement.
I understand that photographic images of my artwork and myself will become the exclusive property of the sponsoring
organizations. I understand that the sponsoring organizations reserve the right to disqualify entrants, including those who
fail to meet the contest guidelines. It is the policy of the sponsoring organizations that there shall be no discrimination with
