COREY "C-BABY" MCCROEY: Based on my professional training and experience
19
as a police officer investigating the TOWERSIDE criminal street gang and a review of police reports,
20
sheriff's records, photographs, and other documents, it is my opinion that Corey McCroey ("Corey
21
McCroey") is an active member of Defendant TOWERSIDE gang.
22
23

I personally know Corey McCroey, whose moniker is "C Baby."

During a May 8, 2010 San Francisco Sheriff's Department classification and interview,
24
Corey McCroey admitted membership in TOWERSIDE.

EVIDENCE OF GANG ACTIVITY - CRIMINAL CONDUCT

On September 12, 2009 at 10:45 a.m., Sean "Dough" Beard and other DBG members
13
were detained and escorted out of a public event for taunting rival TOWERSIDE gang
14
members. (See Police Report No. 090946840.) According to the report, SFPD officers
15
were monitoring a series of Pop Warner football games as these games had been the
16
scene of past violent incidents. SFPD officers observed several known TOWERSIDE
17
gang members, including Marcus "Monz" Gaines, Kalaan "KK" Johnson, Ceabe "CB"
18
Justin, Corey "C-Baby" McCroey, and Vincent "VC" Floyd, enter the stadium.
19
Approximately an hour later, Beard along with other known DBG members arrived at the
20
stadium. Both groups taunted one another, clenching their fists and taking a fighting
21
stance, attempting to engage one another in a physical altercation. SFPD was forced to
22
draw their batons and step in between the two groups. Beard and the other DBG
23
members were escorted out of the stadium as well as the members of TOWERSIDE.
24

On January 5, 2010 at 12:39 p.m. SFPD officers responded to a call that a person had a

disabled near the intersection of Sunnydale Avenue and Rey Street and that the victim
2
called AAA for assistance. Shortly after the tow truck arrived a group of black males
3
walked up to her and• asked her "why are you looking at my cousin?" The witness told
4
them that she was not looking at anybody. One of the males who was later identified as
5
Corey McCroey, responded, "Don't you know I'm CD?" and then lifted up his shirt to
6
reveal a black gun in his waistband. Corey McCroey told the victim, "I carry my shit all
7
the time and I'll spray that muther fucker!" Orlando "Anthony" Ware was also found to
8
have been present. SFPD officers later discovered that Corey McCroey used his brother
9
Cedric McCroey's moniker in this incident.
10

On February 10, 2010 at 9:23 p.m., SFPD officers were patrolling an area within the
11
Bayview Police District when they spotted Corey McCroey. (Police Incident Report No.
12
100137802.) According to the report, SFPD officers recognized Corey McCroey and
13
knew that he did not have a valid driver's license. When Corey McCroey saw the officers,
14
he accelerated at a high rate of speed, ignoring the officers' lights and sirens, attempting
15
to evade officers. Corey McCroey's vehicle stopped in front of 1090 Oakdale Avenue
16
and a juvenile TOWERSIDE gang member ran out of the vehicle holding his front
17
waistband with both hands stopping only to toss the concealed firearm over the fence
18
near 1090 Oakdale Avenue. Corey McCroey continued to run eventually succeeding in
19
evading capture. Nine days later, SFPD officers saw Corey McCroey in front of 274 Rey
20
Street and arrested him.
21

On March 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. SFPD officers responded to 88 Heritage Avenue to
22
investigate an assault. (Police Incident Report No. 100407467.) According to the report,
23
the victim was walking with family members when they were accosted by three known
24
TOWERSIDE members including Corey McCroey and Orlando "Anthony" Ware. Corey
25
McCroey yelled obscenities and punched the victim in the mouth. Ware punched the
26
victim in the face and then reached inside his waistband and produced a silver revolver

3
retaliation.

7
Rey Street between Towerside and Heritage Avenues. (Police Incident Report No.
8
100424201.) According to the report, as SFPD officers approached, Corey McCroey and
9
Beasley began to distance themselves from the group. Corey McCroey's right hand was
10
concealed under the front of his black hooded sweatshirt as if holding a firearm. Corey
11
McCroey fled from officers to evade capture. SFPD officers would later apprehend
12
Corey McCroey and recover a loaded firearm from his person. Corey McCroey was
