Mutiny in March

Mutiny in March
If we liked our plans we could keep our plans. If we liked our doctors we could keep our doctors. Troops would be pulled out of
Iraq. Gitmo would close. No lobbyists would work in the White House. These are just a few of Obama’s lies… but believe him now. The
former President denies wire tapping Trump’s phones during the election. Nothing to see here!
The rest of the wagons quickly circled. Nancy Pelosi said “we don’t do that”. Same person who denied meeting with Putin this
week, then was busted with a photo Trump tweeted. Schumer freaked over the tap accusation. This is the same guy who raged over
Trump’s contact with Russia, then was also busted by a picture Trump tweeted. Forgive the cynicism, but any expectation of truth evaporates with their flimsy lies.
Everyone from former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper to Mexican President Vicente Fox are incensed about
Trump’s accusation, too. Yet denials and indignation on Barracks behalf do not prove Trump is telling the truth anymore than Obama and
his administration. However, getting lost in a sea of he –said – she – said is a political sideshow.
James Comey, Director of the FBI, instantly claimed the assertion was false. He then asked the Department of Justice to refute
Trump’s claim. Neither the spokesperson for the DOJ or the FBI commented. Instead of investigating, Comey is essentially chastising the
sitting President. This is not just a small case of insubordination. It is mutiny. We watched both the Democrat and Republican Party
destroy themselves from within during the primary. Then Flynn lied about his communication with Kilsyak. Acting Attorney General
Sally Yates was fired after refusing to enact Trump’s travel ban. Mutiny is knocking at the White House door.
We were told before the election that not accepting the election’s results threatened our democracy. One could say refusing the
President’s requests is equally threatening. Granted, Thomas Jefferson said “dissent is the highest form of patriotism.” Dissent is cute
when your side is complaining. But be careful what you wish for. As Jefferson could tell you, dissent leads to revolution. And revolution
leads to war.
ISIS, Russia, unemployment, poverty, crime, and the economy – we can not fight those if we fight ourselves. If an investigation
into wire-tapping can not be completed without political point scoring, what happens when the burden involves a matter of serious
concern? It is easy to stick it to Trump. But in the end, you are really just sticking it to Americans. Abraham Lincoln summed it up best
when he said, "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed
ourselves”
