Our company has been hired by Bozo’s Bodacious Bubbles to determine
which of their two new secret bubble formulas is the best at making large bubbles.
All they will tell us is that we should call the yellow one “A” and the blue one “B”.
Using the following procedure please gather data and write your conclusion.
Procedure:
• Pre-clean your workstation with water and a squeegee. Add some water to moisten countertop.
• Using an eyedropper, draw up some bubble solution “A” from the portion cup and add it to the
small graduated cylinder until you have 2ml. Pour this into the center section of your work area.
• Place your straw on the counter(in the 2ml of bubble solution), tilt the straw slightly, and begin
blowing gently into the straw to get a bubble going.
• Keep blowing until it pops. Keep equipment out of the way. Blow straight down into the middle of
the bubble so it doesn’t slide away from you.
• Measure the diameter of the circle remaining on the counter (this is the outline of the popped
bubble).
•
•
Wipe away
leftover residue from trial 1, remoisten with water and do trial 2. Repeat
this entire process for bubble solution “B”.
Fill in all information in this report.
