3.
From fold line cut strips 1 1/2 inches wide
stopping at open edge fold line so you do not cut
completely through your paper.
Step 2: Fold over the open edge by approx. 1 inch, then unfold.
Step 3: Cut strips approx. 1 ½ inch wide from folded edge to open edge – make sure to stop before you
get to edge so you do not cut through whole paper. Cut as many strips as you can fit.
Step 4: Open up your paper, this is now your loom.
Step 5: With lighter colored construction paper, cut strips of paper approx 1 ½ inch wide so you can use
these strips to weave with. Cut as many strips as you can out of the paper.
Step 6: Start weaving a strip of paper through your loom following the over under pattern
Step 7: Slide woven strip to edge of loom and insert a new strip to weave. Continue until loom is filled.
Step 8: Glue edges of strips to loom
Step 9: Set aside to dry while you make fruit out of construction paper.
Creating fruit can be as simple as drawing and cutting fruit out of paper or construction them out of
strips of paper. Basically, if you construct from paper you will need a stapler to help make strips into
spheres. Add details like stems and leaves to make your colored spheres look like fruit.
Once fruit is made and weaving is dry, you will need to make a cone with your weaving. You can either
glue or staple your weaving once it is a cone to hold in place. Final touch, add fruit inside your
cornucopia and set on table. Voila a centerpiece everyone can be proud of.
