Forelimbs
At each station:
A. Carefully sketch the structure of the forelimb
B. Discuss and record the function of each forelimb (ex. Walking,
swimming, etc.)
C. Compare each forelimb to those you’ve seen and use color in your
drawing to indicate similar structures between species.
Whale
1. Describe 5 specific differences between the forelimb bones of
specific species.
2. Compare the two most different limbs. What 3 similarities do they
share?
3. Describe what patterns exist in all of the limbs.
4. If each limb has a different function then what could cause them to
share a similar structure?
