(Great Lawn)
A melee of bishop
purple and cardinal red
tulips. The two colors
invigorate each other,
creating a spectacle that
is hard to overlook.

Daffodil Hawera
Tulip–Best Yellow
Tulip–El Niño
A tiny lemon-yellow
daffodil that makes up
for its size by producing
6–8 flowers on each
stem. Exceptionally fine
for perennial beds or a
rock garden. Planted in
a sunny spot, it can last
for many years. Hawera
mixes well with wild tulips such as Bakeri
Lilac Wonder and other smaller bulbs. In our
opinion it’s one of the great daffodils.
A rich golden yellow
tulip, impressive
both for the size
of its flowers and
their longevity. Best
landscape tulip in its
class. It can light up a
garden, the entrance to
a building, or an entire
traffic median.
This tulip is beautifully
indecisive. Its flowers
can be red and rose,
amber and rose, or
all three at once, the
red appearing as wild
stripes or speckles. No
two flowers are exactly
alike. Plant in quantity
to see the full range of possibility.

Tulip–Gentle Giants
Bakeri Lilac Wonder
produces showy lilacpink flowers with deep
yellow centers that bob
in the slightest breeze.
Every garden should
have at least a hundred
of these beautiful little
tulips. The species is native to Crete.
Blending tulips is
a little like mixing
chemicals. Get it
wrong and nothing
happens, or maybe
too much. Get it right
and the colors seem to
feed off of each other.
This chain reaction of
yellow, purplish pink and
maroon is all good.
Jumbo tulips in shades
of pink and peach.
They manage to be
robust and delicate
at the same time. The
four varieties in the
blend are near relatives,
which explains the
close harmony of color
and form. All have perennial tendencies in the
landscape.

Tulip–Linifolia
Tulip–Tarda
Tulip–Three Queens
Flowers open to
shining scarlet stars
with black hearts.
Linifolia makes quite
a splash in the rock
garden. Also excellent
along the edge of a
well-drained flower
bed. This species tulip is native to Central Asia.
Clusters of yellow starshaped flowers, edged
white. Plant thickly
to create a glittering
spring carpet. Given
a sunny spot, Tarda
proves most reliable,
often blooming year
after year. Tien-Shan Mountains, China.
Three pink tulips
of regal bearing - a
reddish pink touched
with white, a soft
mauve and a lilac.
They light up when
the sun hits them.
This three of a kind
takes the pot.
