Nursery (Summer 1) Old McDonald had a Farm Here are the fun and exciting activities that your child will be participating in over the next half term Prime Area: Personal, Social and Emotional development (PSED) Caring for the environment- A visit to a local farm v Showing care and concern for others – looking after the tadpoles and caring for their needs. Turn-taking, sharing and working cooperatively: games and jigsaws. Opportunities for older children to support younger children Prime Area: Communication and Language (CL) Prime Area: Physical Development (PD) Listening to and joining in with stories and rhymes that relate to farms. Healthy eating- chopping & tasting a variety of veg P.E. every Friday Use the sound buttons to record a variety of animal noises. Participate in fine motor skills- making clay farm animals. Participate in role-play to develop speaking and listening skills. Complete farm related jigsaws Outside provision- running, jumping, Regular Phase 1 activities to develop phonological awareness climbing, balancing, stopping. .
