centered around outdoor experiences of continual discovery and adventure within the
Montana wilderness.
THE SETTING
Moonlight Basin is located on 8000 acres of Montana wilderness
in beautiful Big Sky, Montana, just one hour north of Yellowstone
National Park and one hour south of Bozeman, MT. The original 39
square miles of property was purchased by a group of local ranchers
and landowners in 1993, who immediately launched efforts to
protect, preserve, and enhance this slice of the Lee Metcalf wilderness.
Over half of the property was placed in conservation easements, and
substantial time and resources were invested into restoring the land
to its natural, healthy state. All past and future development has been
planned with conservation in mind, strategically creating a property
that provides both outstanding recreation for guests, owners and
members, and protects the natural resources and wildlife that call
this stretch of Montana wilderness home.
OWNERSHIP & DEVELOPMENT
Moonlight Basin is being developed by Lone Mountain Land Company, a real estate development firm in Big Sky, that was
formed to manage the planning, entitlement, building, marketing and sale of premier real estate in the community, and to
oversee operations of the Moonlight Club and Spanish Peaks Mountain Club. Lone Mountain Land Company believes in
the importance of supporting the thoughtful growth of the area, and understands the best possible development is done
responsibly and in a sustainable manner, both in terms of protection of the environment and the long-term economic
prosperity of the Big Sky community. Boyne Resorts manages the public ski operations and skier support services at Moonlight
Basin. Boyne Resorts is the second largest owner and operator of ski and golf resorts in the United States and has the longest
running management team at nearly 60 years.

4350 vertical feet, 23 chair lifts, and slopes ranging from pristine groomers to some of the most extreme inbound terrain
in North America, skiers and riders of all skill levels are sure to find their perfect run. Off the slopes, members, residents,
and visitors enjoy a wide variety of resort amenities such as a luxury spa, dining options to suit every palate, and an Apres

WILDLIFE
Moonlight Basin is home to nearly every native species of
animal that calls Montana home. Our conservation efforts
have maintained a wildlife corridor between the two parcels
of the Lee Metcalf Wilderness. Elk, moose, wolves, bears
and deer roam freely in these conservation easements and
in our remaining 8000 acres as we’ve purposely preserved
the corridors that connect low wintering grounds to highelevation summer habitat.
GOLF - THE RESERVE AT MOONLIGHT BASIN
Those who have golfed the world’s top courses call
The RESERVE at Moonlight Basin one of the most
unforgettable, unparalleled experiences of their lifetime.
The RESERVE is a par-72 Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf
Course that blends 8000 yards of nature-inspired golfing
into an arresting high-elevation setting. As one of Jack
Nicklaus’s finest alpine golf creations, the course’s back
nine holes perfectly frame an array of unique vistas.
Construction on the front nine holes is complete, and
the full 18 holes are scheduled to be playable by the
summer of 2015. Our PGA Professional is on hand to
help members take their game to the next level with
specialized clinics, tournaments and private instruction.

Montana offers a world of outstanding outdoor recreation, and the Moonlight Outfitters team is here to ensure that
Moonlight Club members have a unique and unforgettable experience. The Ulery’s Lake Camp is the center for all
Moonlight Outfitters activities, and is a great place for members and their families to gather and socialize. Explore
