Greek Column Hunt - Mrs. Thompson @ZMS

Between now and November 30th you are on a hunt for the three types of Greek
Columns. You will need to visit various locations in Louisville and Bullitt County to find
these columns before November 30th. Your project should be at least 3 pages (one for
each column). Each page should include the type of column, a picture of the column, and
the location of the column (as specific as possible). Please have your parent sign and
return the bottom portion of this paper by November 2nd.
- When you take pictures of the column make sure that you and the capital (see
below) are in the picture too! Don’t forget – columns are round!
- If you use a digital camera, you DO NOT need to print out the picture on photo
paper. A black and white picture from a standard printer will be fine. You may also email
me the pictures and I can print them at school. [email protected]
- If you do not have a camera you will need to go find a building for each style of
column, draw it, and tell me where you found it.
- Feel free to do this project with friends (especially if you don’t have a camera or
a ride but a friend does). Make sure that all people in the group are in the picture, but
make copies of the picture for each person to turn in separately.
This is worth 60 points (20 points for each style of column you find).
