Call for Pictures Post Graduation Party Video Memory book: Past and Present Minimum picture requests At least one “Baby” picture (but no more than 3) Pictures should be candid shots featuring the student at any age between birth and 3rd grade. The best shots are those that are “funny” or unusual. If there is more than one individual in the picture, it should be easy to tell which individual is the senior. At least one “Senior” picture (but no more that 2) Senior pictures should be quality shots of the student as a junior or a senior. These pictures do not have to be professional photographs, home pictures are fine. Examples of shots that have been used in the past are: Formal professional senior pictures Posed prom photos Posed before-formal party shots Posed photos from family gatherings Posed/professional sports pictures Additional materials In addition to stills of each graduate, we are also looking for some still and video material to “liven up” the production. If you have any footage or stills that are unique and you think the whole class would enjoy seeing please feel free to include. The following are examples of items that have been used in the past. Group stills of the senior class at any grade level (pictures of class trips, field days, parties, costume parties, dances, sports and groups of friends). Class stills from grade one elementary buildings. Video of the class from any grade level that is either “cute” or “funny” (think “America’s Funniest Home videos” type clips). These clips shouldn’t be longer than 1 to 2 minutes and must be sent in the original video format (copies will make the quality degrade and hard to see) Examples from previous productions o clip of students singing at a 5th grade elementary talent show o clip of pre-school graduation featuring multiple graduating seniors o clip of a student jumping in leaves as a toddler o clips from sports activities Acceptable formats. 1) Regular Photographs & proofs (if using a proof try to avoid ones where the studio name is printed across the entire photo) 2) slides 3) Scanned images: In addition to regular prints or proofs, some parents prefer to turn in printouts of scanned pictures because they are afraid of losing the original. If you choose to do this, please send the electronic file instead of the printout, since the picture must be in electronic format anyway in order for it to be included in the video and quality will be lost if it needs to be re-scanned. Pictures can be in almost any electronic format (GIF, TIFF, JPEG, BITMAP, PSD, etc) although JPEG and PSD (Photoshop) are preferred. Pictures can be scanned at any size although higher than 7.5” or wider than 10” is best. Resolution should be higher than 72. Electronic pictures can be on CD or DVD or they can also be e-mailed directly to Mr. Gillet at [email protected] 4) Video: Video can be in any of the following: (VHS, VHS-C, DIGIAL8, MINI-DV, 8MM, DVD, MPEG, AVI, AVCHD, MOV, MTS).
