To create the clown’s shoes, fold an uninflated White 260Q before inserting it into the neck of an uninflated 11" Purple Violet balloon. Pull the tail end out so it’s about 2" (5cm) longer than the nozzle end, which should be flush with the lip of the 11" balloon. Inflate the 11" balloon to about 8" (20cm). Then, inflate the 260Q, while holding the end to create an 8" loop inside the 11" balloon. Pull the ends tight and then tie together at the base of the loop bubble. Cut off the excess 260Q. Insert an uninflated 5" Purple Violet balloon into the same 11" latex. Inflate the 11" balloon to 6" (15cm) then inflate the 5" latex to 3" (8cm) and tie. ➤ Cute Clown pg 1 U.S. Patent No. 6,782,675 USA ©2017 PBC SB-PBC1701068 Position the 3" balloon into the center of the loop as you release the air in the 11". Repeat to make the second shoe. 2. Inflate two 5" Purple Violet balloons to 4.5" (11.5cm) and tie the necks together to create a duplet. Inflate a third 5" Purple Violet balloon to 4.5" (11.5cm) and tie it into the duplet. Tie the necks of the shoes from Step 1 together and then wrap them with this 3-balloon cluster to create the base. Add a small sand or water weight. 3. Create a second 5-balloon cluster using 5" Red balloons inflated to 3" (8cm). Place this cluster on top of the first and position it so it nests into the Purple Violet cluster from Step 2. Use monofilament line to attach the clusters together. 4. Create a 5-balloon cluster using 5" Orange balloons sized to 4.5" (11.5cm). Place this cluster on top of the Red cluster and position it so it nests into the cluster from Step 3. Use monofilament line to attach the clusters together. 5. Create a 5-balloon cluster using 6" Yellow Quick Links sized to 5.5" (14cm). Nest this cluster on top of the Orange cluster and attach with monofilament. 6. Create a 5-balloon cluster using 5" Lime Green sized to 4.5" (11.5cm). Nest this cluster on top of the Yellow Quick Link cluster and attach with monofilament. 7. Create a 5-balloon cluster using 5" Robin’s Egg Blue latex sized to 4" (10cm). Nest this cluster on top of the Lime Green cluster and attach with monofilament. Wrap the cluster an extra time to tightly secure it and cut off the extra monofilament line. 8. Air inflate the “Cute Clown” Microfoil® and roll the neck of the balloon up using a 260Q scrap and tie. Use the 260Q to tie the “Cute Clown” Microfoil into the top cluster. 9. To create the clown’s arms, make four 4-balloon clusters using 5" Orange latex to 2.5" (6cm) and two 4-balloon clusters using 5" Wild Berry sized to 2.5" (6cm). Alternate the clusters in Orange-Wild BerryOrange pattern and create a garland. Repeat to make a second arm. Air inflate a 6" White GEO Blossom® and tie. Wrap the neck of GEO Blossom into the center of the Orange cluster and tie it to the neck of one of the balloons in that cluster. Repeat this process for the second arm. 10. Tie both arms together at the end opposite of the GEO Blossom using a 260Q. Leave 4" of 260Q between the arms. Stretch the 260Q between the Lime Green and Robin’s Egg Blue clusters and position the arms on opposite sides of the body. Wrap the 260Q around on of the balloons in the body to lock the arms into place. 11. Create a 4-balloon cluster using 5" Yellow latex sized to 3" (8cm). Set aside. ➤ Find more inspiration at OVER THERE! NO! OVER THERE! PARTY TIME! Cute Clown pg 2 U.S. Patent No. 6,782,675 USA ©2017 PBC SB-PBC1701068 Qualatex likes to ROCK HOW Apple Twist 1. With your index finger, push the knot all the way through the balloon and grasp the knot between the thumb and index finger with your other hand. 2. Remove your finger while holding the knot securely. Twist the knot several times while grasping it. 12. Helium inflate the “Circus Parade” Bubble. Turn “Circus Parade” balloon upside down and position it against something so it’s stabilized. Place the Yellow cluster so the neck of the “Circus Parade” is in the center of the cluster. Twist the two Yellow balloons around the neck of the Bubble to lock into place. Tie the bubble to one of the White GEO Blossom hands of the clown. 13. To add decorations to the Quick Links on the clown’s body, inflate the tip end of a 160Q Lime Green latex. Twist a 1" (2.5cm) bubble of air at the tip and tie a knot below it. Repeat to make a total of five 1" bubbles. Next, fully inflate a 5" Wild Berry latex and release the air until it’s about 3" (8cm). Tie the knot close to the lip of the balloon. Tie the 160Q bubble to the knot and remove excess balloon before making an Apple Twist (see to “How to Make an Apple Twist”). Repeat this step to make a total of five. Tie the Apple Twists to the tip end of each Yellow Quick Link. 3. While still holding the knot, wrap a piece of uninflated 260Q balloon tightly around the knot several times and tie the 260Q securely. Find more inspiration at NO! OVER THERE! PARTY TIME!
