Usage
This chapter provides a list of the TCP and UDP ports that Cisco Business Edition 3000 Release 8.6(2) uses
for communications with external applications or devices.

Cisco has not verified all possible configuration scenarios for these ports. If you are having configuration
problems using this list, contact Cisco technical support for assistance.
The ports that are listed in this chapter apply specifically to Cisco Business Edition 3000 Release 8.6(2).
Some ports change from one release to another, and future releases may introduce new ports. Therefore,
make sure that you are using the correct version of this document for the version of Cisco Business Edition
3000 that is installed.
Note
The Ephemeral port range for the system is 32768 to 61000.

Ephemeral ports
In most cases, source ports are ephemeral, meaning random within a specified range. When an outgoing
request is made, the application solicits the host device for a port from its ephemeral pool. In a few cases,
the destination port is also ephemeral, meaning that both the source and destination ports are random.

Internet Message Access Protocol—A protocol for retrieving e-mail messages.
SIP
Session Initiation Protocol—A signalling protocol used for establishing sessions in an IP network.

Secure Shell—A network protocol that allows exchange of data using a secure channel between two networked
