CALLING PEER TUTORS Would you like to be involved in the “Saints Helping Hawks” Tutoring Program? Tutors must be Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors, and are needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Wredling from 3:15 ‐ 4:30. Contracts are available in the Student Activities Office. You’ll need Mrs. Dandre’s signature on the contract before you can start to help at Wredling. Our first tutoring session is September 15. See Mrs. Dandre as soon as possible if you are interested. PSAT The PSAT test will be given on Wednesday, October 14. If you are in Algebra 2 or higher and wish to take this exam (it is an optional exam), the deadline to sign up is September 17. Late registrations cannot be accepted. Please fill out the attached form in this Orange and Black newsletter. Please note that there are separate forms for Freshmen/ Sophomores and Juniors. If you have any questions, please contact the College & Career office at 331‐228‐5622. FOOD POLICY Effective immediately, we are not accepting food deliveries at the Meet & Greet desk for students. In addition, students cannot order and have food delivered directly to classrooms. It is still acceptable for parents to drop off food/forgotten lunches. However, students cannot leave a class to pick‐up their forgotten lunch. The lunch will sit at the Meet & Greet desk until the next passing period when it can be reunited with the student. The purpose of this food delivery policy is to eliminate classroom disruptions. Enrollment Assistant and Teaching Assistant Positions Available Would you like to work part‐time? Do you enjoy working with children? District 303 is hiring Enrollment Assistants and Special Education Teaching Assistants for this school year. Enrollment Assistants work in the classroom at an elementary school assisting the teacher for 4.5 hours per day or less, while teaching assistants work with students in various setting for up to 7 hours per day.
