From the title of this message Who Is This Melchisedec it is hardly possible that one
would have any idea that Bro. Branham would teach upon the true identity
and destiny of the sons of God and would answer such questions as, “Who
are we? Where did we come from? What are we doing here and why are
we doing thusly? Where are we going and what will it be like when we get
there?” And then, “What is our ultimate end, the ultimate destination and
what is it like?” And this message then deals with us and with Jesus Christ
from eternity to eternity. That is what we’re looking at and to simply announce
this subject title, Who Is This Melchisedec? would never have lead us to
believe that actually Christ and ourselves, if so be we are true sons of God,
would be identified in this particular message from eternity to eternity, to
show us exactly how that we come--except for a minor deflection--just like
Jesus Christ.

William Branham
For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham
returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of
righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; Let's
read a little farther.
Without father, without mother, without descent,… neither beginning of days, or
end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
30 Think of this great Person, of how great this Man must be! And now, the
question is, "Who is this Man?" Theologians has had different ideas. But
since the opening of the Seven Seals, the mysterious Book that's been
mysterious to us… According to Revelations 10:1 to 7, all the mysteries
that's wrote in this Book, that's been hid down through the age of the
reformers, is supposed to be brought out into view by the angel of the last
church age. How many knows that's right? [Congregation says, "Amen."—
Ed.] That's right, supposed to be brought. All the mysteries of the
mysterious Book is to be revealed to the Laodicea messenger of that age.
31 Seeing there is much dispute about this Person and this subject, I think it
behooves us to break into it, to find out Who this is. Now, there is several schools
of thought on Him. One of the schools are, claims, "He's just a myth. He wasn't

actually a person." And the others says, that, "It was a priesthood. That was the
Melchisedec priesthood." That's the most likely one, that hold better to that side
than they do to the other, is because they say it was a priesthood. It can't be
that, for in the 4th verse It says He was a Person, a "Man."
Hebrews 7:4
4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham
gave the tenth of the spoils.
So, in order to be a Person, He has to be a personality, a "Man." Not a
order; but a Person! So He was not just a priesthood order, neither was He
a myth. He was a Person.
32 And the Person is Eternal. If you notice, "He had no father. He had no
mother. He had no time He ever began. And He had no time He ever
ended." And ever Who it was is still alive tonight, because the Bible said
here, that, "He had neither father, nor mother, beginning of days, or
ending of life." So It would have to be an Eternal Person. Is that right?
[Congregation says, "Amen."—Ed.] An Eternal Person! So it could only be one
Person, that's God, 'cause He's the only One that's Eternal. God.
Hebrews 5:8-14
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them
that obey him;
10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye
are dull of hearing.
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you
again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as
have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

Hebrews 7:14-17

nothing concerning priesthood.
15 And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there
ariseth another priest,
16 Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power
of an endless life.
17 For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

20 All right, now let's go back to the Book of Hebrews again. And It says here:
(11) ...You're dull of hearing
(12) For when for the time you ought to be teachers...
Now verse 14.
(14) But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age.
So there's going to come a time when there'll be a people that are strong
enough to take it. I've already thrown a tough one at you already to see if
you've got the guts to take it spiritually speaking. I've already said that
Melchisedec must have had a city on the earth. He had a retinue; He had
soldiers. You stumble to think for one minute that God Himself was in that
form and that God had a retinue of angels, and everybody looked like men,
and Abraham came by---and acted like He was a man.

If you can't see that that's a picture of the Millennium, look, you don't
belong here. Go on home please. Do yourself a favor. You know why?
Because the day will come when you are going to get so condemned, you
can't take it. How are you going to stand in the presence of God, the great
Creator in the form of the Lord Jesus Christ, a human body up there at the
Wedding Supper, because that's going to be so totally strange it's to be
pitiful.
Remember, He said, "My thoughts are not your thoughts, and my ways are not
your ways for as high as the heavens above the earth." Say, "I'm so different from
you." He said, "Did you think I was a man like you?" We're not limited anymore, my
brother/sister, by senses and sensibilities. Who wants to be sensible? What has it
got you for being sensible?

38 Now, now, we find out that this Person "had no father, no mother, no
beginning of days or ending of life." It was God, en morphe. Now, the world,
the word comes, the Greek word, means, "change," was used. Changing Himself,
en morphe, from one person to… One person; the Greek word there, en morphe,
means… It was taken from the stage act, that one person is changing his
mask, to make him some other character.
39 Like in school, just recently, I believe, Rebekah, just before she graduated,
they had one of Shakespeare's play. And one young man had to change his clothes
several times, because he played two or three different parts; but, the same
person. He come out, one time, he was the villain; and when he come out next
time, he was another character. And now the Greek word, en morphe, mean that
he "changed his mask."
40 And that's what God did. It's the same God all the time. God in the form
of the Father, the Spirit, the Pillar of Fire. The same God was made flesh
and dwelt among us, en morphe, brought out so He could be seen. And
now that same God is the Holy Ghost. Father, Son, Holy… not three Gods; three
offices, three acts of the one God.
And that's what the Bible has been. It has been a work of God that's been
covered up. And It's been hid since the foundation of the world, and Its
sevenfold mystery. And God promised in this day, at the age of this
Laodicean church, He would take the mask off the whole thing and we
could see It. What a glorious thing!

43 God, en morphe, masked in the Pillar of Fire. God, en morphe, in a Man
called Jesus. God, en morphe, in His Church. God above us, God with us,
God in us; the condescending of God.
44 God came down and become flesh, and died the death, in Christ; so that
He could clean the Church, in order to get into it, for fellowship. God loves
fellowship. That's what He made the man at the first time for, was for
fellowship; God dwells alone, with Cherubims.
45 And notice now, He made man, and man fell. So He came down and
redeemed man, because God loves to be worshipped. The very word god
means "object of worship." And this that comes among us, as a Pillar of
Fire, as something that changes our hearts, that is the same God that said,
"Let there be light," and there was light. He's the same yesterday, today,
and forever.
48 Notice. Those who have, tonight, Eternal Life, was with Him and in Him,
in His thinking, before there ever was an Angel, star, Cherubim, or
anything else. That's Eternal. And if you have Eternal Life, you always was.
Not your being here, but the shape and form that the infinite God…
65-0221E - Who Is This Melchisedec?
And so is it, that Christ is here, the Angels of God are here.
60 He reveals Himself in His great form of what He claimed, as He en
morphes Himself into His servants and proves Himself.
61 Now, here He is in the form of Spirit. And then He comes in the form of
a… of en morphe. Now, He appeared to Abraham, en morphe. When
Abraham was returning from the slaughter of the kings, here come
Melchisedec, talked to Him.
65 When Abraham met Him, He was Melchisedec. He unfolds here what all
the attributes will do in the final end, every son of Abraham. Every son of
the Faith will absolutely do the same thing. But I want to watch how we
have to come.
66 Also, we see Him revealed here in Ruth and—and Boaz, as a Kinsman
Redeemer, how He had to come to be flesh.

67 Now we see the attribute, sons of His Spirit, have not yet entered into
the Word-form body. But, a theophany; this body is subject to the Word
and earnest, waiting for the earnest, change of the body.
68 You come like Adam, like me, you became from the attribute to the
flesh, to be tempted. But when this life is finished here, "If this earthly
tabernacle be dissolved, we have one already waiting." That's where we
go; that is the Word.
2 Corinthians 5:1
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a
building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Then we can look back and see what we done. Now we don't understand it.
We have never become the Word; we've just become the flesh-man, not
the Word.
69 But, and look, clearly makes it clear, you will never be the Word
unless you was a thought at the beginning. That proves the predestination
of God. See? You can't be the Word unless you're a thought. You had to be
in the thinking, first. But, you see, in order to stand temptation, you had to
bypass the theophany. You had to come down here in flesh, to be tempted
by sin. And then, if you stand, "All the Father hath given Me will come to
Me, and I'll raise him up at the last days." See, you had to be first.
80 Here we are formed to the Word image, to be a partaker of the Word,
feed on the Word, by being predestinated since the beginning; you see that
little spark of Life that you had in you from the beginning, when you
started your journey.

Now, Bro. Branham said,
[79] ...That’s the reason Jesus knew all things because He was Word before He
was flesh. Then we become the Word. Here we are formed to the Word
image to be a partaker of the Word, feed on the Word by being
predestinated since the beginning.
That’s true. And you and I, our names are put on the Lamb’s Book of Life,
but we never became a Word-body because the Word was not spoken to

that end. The Word spoken to the end we came to, “Let us make man in
our image.” That was the Word spoken. See? So we bypassed the
theophonic form, we bypassed it. Now we’re down here in the flesh.
Now, Bro. Branham talking about us before the foundation, we skipped the
body, Jesus before the foundation, he did not skip the body, the greater
son of David, the great Son of God did not skip it, we know that, but we did
skip it. Now listen, “Later” he says, “We become the Word.” Later on down
the road. Can’t get it until you...time has come to get it.
25.
Now, he said here, “Here.” Now when you use the word ‘here’ we are
talking in contradistinction to there. We were there, but were not in a
position to receive a receptacle whereby memory could function. No, we
missed the receptacle. Down here and in there, there is a receptacle in that
eternal form. There is a receptacle because Jesus had it. We left that
receptacle to gain this receptacle--the mind, that’s where memory is and that
comes by spirit, and spirit inundates the body to get the body moving out here in
this realm and therefore spirit and mind, though not synonymous, work together
and our knowledge and our information is completely erroneous because all we can
do is judge by what goes on out here. Then the spirit of God cuts in at the
rebirth and believe me He’s got a job and a half.
And unless we crucify to ourselves our own self, not the Son of God now,
but crucify ourselves to ourselves which is the greatest battle ever fought,
which is the battle Armageddon, to put the Word ahead of all the senses
until the senses are completely overcome by the Word of God, then the
flow reverses so we are no longer pouring out from what we gain around
here, but we’re pouring out the Word which is enlivened by the Holy Ghost,
then we come parallel to the form that we missed. But it’s still not the
same because it’s not the form. But you come to where now, though
having missed it, you and I are living in a place of victory but this memory
is there in contradistinction to what should have been there, that memory
is gone and then thank God the end it’s reversed.

Now, the question comes up: If God did this to us--which we don’t think is
very fair--that He would allow us to bypass that body and put us in the
soul, or a gene of God, down here now, without that memory--which is
evidently so valuable and wonderful--so knowing nothing of it we’re in this
particular condition.
27.
Now watch what he says. In spite of our own analysis, and in spite of
our own conclusions, what form God placed us in was predestinated to this
extent that though we are in this form we can partake of the Word of God
and thereby be transformed to the image of Christ. Now that’s a big order but
that’s exactly what God’s Word tells us and that’s the Bible. Bro. Branham hit it
right on the head; he said, “Look, later on we’re going to become this
Word. We’ll pick it up.” But he said, “Here’s the Word we’re into now:”

...We are formed to the Word image to be partakers of the Word,
If you were born of God, if your gene was in God to begin with, though
you’re in this human body which is a real mess--because there’s no true
human beings anymore.
See? God predestinated a people who would feed on the Word and by the
feeding on the Word be transformed to the image of Christ. That’s exactly
why Bro. Branham said, “The evidence of the baptism with the Holy Ghost
was to receive the Word for the hour.” To receive an understanding, a
revelation of the Word of Almighty God.
29. So here we are transforming in physical form. There, we would not
have needed it. See? But we are eternal souls. Why? Not that the soul in
itself is eternal but there’s a germ in it because souls get destroyed. So
some souls don’t have that germ in them, they’re not of God. We as eternal
souls, seed form sons of God, produce flesh-bodies instead of Word-bodies
and now feed on the Word to be conformed to Christ.
