March 2014 The Paprika Ball Hopefully you have all purchased your tickets for The Paprika Ball, The Cleveland Hungarian Development Panel's annual fundraiser! The event will be held on March 1st, 2014 in Cleveland, OH. The Cleveland Hungarian Development Panel (CHDP) is a non-profit organization of dedicated volunteers who recognize the need to promote and support educational and cultural ties between Americans and Hungarians. The mission of the CHDP is to provide assistance and the exchange of ideas for Hungarian projects in the areas of commerce, education, and health and human services. Funds for the work of the CHDP are based primarily on the annual Paprika Ball and private donations. The Cleveland Hungarian Development Panel's President, Elizabeth Papp Taylor, writes that from 1990 until July 2013 "the Panel has given over $1,000,000 in assistance and helped promote the exchange of ideas for Hungarian projects in the areas of commerce, education, and health and human services." Taylor also George Kitzberger and his wife, noted the 2013 Paprika event honoring the Cleveland Orchestra was the third auction chairwoman Pauline Ramig of Lyndhurst pose for a most successful in 23 years. March 2014 Employee Spotlight This month’s Employee Spotlight is on Special Projects Manager Jeremy Wade Rodman. Jeremy joined SCOLA as an uplink employee in 2007 and was promoted to Special Projects Manager in 2012. Prior to SCOLA, Jeremy held a variety of jobs, including camera operator at Fox 42 and a mechanic at Cram Foreign Auto. He majored in film and media studies at the University of Iowa, and can be seen in the summer driving a variety of unique vehicles – a VW Beetle, a VW Microbus or his wife’s 1976 Mercedes.
