Come out, bring your lawn chair and support our football teams. Games start at 9am at the back field. Coffee and refreshments will be available. Thank you to the Community Lunch Box Program, for continuing to supply our students with emergency lunches and apples. Thank you also to the parents who volunteer their time to support our lunchtime canteen. Our canteen continues to provide healthy lunch choices courtesy of our wonderful cook Heather Glen-Warchola. We are still looking for parental help with our morning breakfast program. This would be clean-up duty for approximately 15 minutes in the morning from 9-9:15. Please call Linda Wigton at the school if you are available and would like to help out. A big shout out goes to Pembina Pipeline for supporting our breakfast program through their initiative, Fuel 4 Thought. On Friday, September 23rd, a professional film crew, along with Pembina volunteers, visited our school to make a video about the importance of breakfast and learning. At Percy Baxter we will be giving programs called Mind-U and the Mental Health Toolkit. We also help give health presentations! Simple Ideas to Promote Positive Mental Health in Your Teenager 1. Have a weekly family game night. Take turns choosing games. 2. Spend one hour a week alone with each child. Take a walk, listen to music, or just hang out. 3. Find out one area where your child is struggling. Listen to your child’s concerns. Help your child think of ways to address the issue.
