Fair Housing Talking Points
 2016 marks the 48th anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights
Act of 1968, which reaffirms Fair Housing for all people regardless of
race, color, creed, national origin, sex, familial status and handicap.
Simply stated, you have the opportunity to find a home of your
choosing, free from discrimination;
 Maryland REALTORS® started this program in 1998 and
produced our first calendar in 1999;
 Fair Housing is important to us because everyone deserves the
opportunity to find the right home;
 We want to recognize the importance of this law and to remind us
about Fair Housing responsibilities;
 To REALTORS®, Fair Housing means equal access and equal
housing opportunities for all. We celebrate Fair Housing and the
strength diversity brings to our communities and the nation.
